Hard to say.

If the exit polls are to be believed (and they're usually very accurate), then thats it. It'll be another 5 years of the coalition. Though I find it hard to believe the Lib Dems will be decimated to 10 seats...

I'd wager its probably around 60% likely we'll see a Tory led government.

I don't think the Lib Dems will go for another coalition. Especially as it would be so weak.

If the exit polls are accurate, I think the most likely outcome is that the Tories will try and lead with some sort of arrangement with the DUP. I can't see how else it will work.

Do you mean "this is how Nazi Germany was after it finished"?

If you dont learn from history, you're doomed to repeat it.

Or, you know, some profound bollocks that'll make my argument seem sensical.

The night is always darkest just before the dawn.

That's another one.

One exit poll and the anti-Tory brigade are out with the personal slurs and jaded class arguments.

And many in this thread were criticising large sections of the press for what exactly? Oh, i remember now.

Clearly I was referring to those who take part in a barbaric, cruel and outdated act under the guise of "sport". Not every Tory voter, but you knew that.

Oh, and fwiw, what exactly would you refer to that specific demographic as?

They'd throw in UKIP with their couple of seats to make it look more legitimate, since UKIP will get a decent proportion of the UK-wide vote. Worrying.

If you're some old cnut whos loaded and you vote Tory than at least I can see why.

I just don't get why anyone else would vote for them, they don't give a feck about anyone who isn't part of the elite.

People vote for them because they see what has actually happened over the last five years after the disaster under a Labour government (avoidable or not is another argument) and are happy with a stable country where things are likely only going to improve. It's not the time to switch everything around again.

I don't get why anyone would vote cos "Labour are for the people, Tories are for the elite". It comes across as letting the tabloid headlines deciding your vote, it's desperate Labour spin.

Exit polls are bullshit, Tory voters are far more approachable. White, wearing proper trousers, etc.

They're not going to approach us trackie-bottom wearing Labour votes are they?

UKIP's Fuhrer thinks the polls are rubbish. And the Romanians. no doubt.

To be fair Nick. You really have to be a 'snob' to get dress up in your Sunday best and get on a horse to shoot at a ginger badger.

Has everyone in Scotland voting SNP (except me it seems!) done major damage to Labour or would they have still lost anyway?

The trouble for the Tories is that they have ruled out an official coalition with UKIP.

It's a bit if a cluster feck, really. Even more confounded than last time.

I'm glad you picked up the key point in a post about ripping animals apart for a laugh.

A Tory-DUP-UKIP coalition?

Fecking hell.
Last five years is going to look like a holiday.

Possibly leave the EU as well. Life is great...

Ah yeah. I suppose they would still go to the Lib Dems then. The Lib Dems can't do much else - Labour are nowhere near.

Never thought Labour would get smashed like this. It reminds me of the Champions League final against Barca at Wembley. So much hope going into it only for it to turn into a horror show.

No offence but they sound like classic Tories.

I'm doing okay, stuff everyone else.

To be fair, one of them was a good friend of mine. He's not really from a wealthy family. True he doesn't seem to care too much about others but certainly not as cynical as what I've seen/heard. Simplistic but many views are that they haven't fecked it up so just give them another go.

He doesn't do any polling himself though, so he's dependent on others. Not sure the extent of his involvement in this election.

He obviously doesn't do the polling himself. He weights a series of polls based on their perceived reliability and does his mathematician stuff to come up with a probability.
