Whenever you ask someone who they voted for and they refuse to answer. They clearly voted Tory.

It's almost like they know how twatish it is....

Like Germans post war denying that they voted in the Nazis. It's exactly like that. So what I'm really saying is... This is exactly how Nazi Germany started.

Crap, 5 more years of Cameron and Clegg...

I've just made myself a very tall drink, and the chilli sensations are next to the salver, where's the bloody swingometer gone...

Actually scratch what I said earlier on, by the looks of it the YouGov is a repolling they've done today so classes as an exit poll.

Feck knows what's going on.

Do you mean "this is how Nazi Germany was after it finished"?

Nah no way, I thought Milibandz finessed his campaign (except for that stupid policy cenotaph thing).

I know quite a few people who voted Tory. From speaking to them, their main reason was that they felt the past 5 years have been fine for them, so no reason to change. Another couple of my friends comes from a rich families and they think that people shouldn't be so harshly taxed for being successful, so voting Conservative.

Most of them are not so vocal though, only when speaking to them they revealed.

Vote SNP get Tory - sounds about right. feck the english - sounds like the message to me.

Y'know I think if they had another independence referendum today instead of voting in the General Election, they'd choose to leave the Union by a landslide. It's only my opinion.

I liked Katie Raworth on the One Show yesterday explaining how her big map of England works, with the panels that can be taken out and changed colour. It was the political version of what that paedophile weatherman used to have on This Morning. We've got so used to digital graphics that we need an actual map with actual pieces that can be taken out explained to us.

Do we have any hope at this point or is it all over?

Hard to say.

If the exit polls are to be believed (and they're usually very accurate), then thats it. It'll be another 5 years of the coalition. Though I find it hard to believe the Lib Dems will be decimated to 10 seats...

I'd wager its probably around 60% likely we'll see a Tory led government.

No offence but they sound like classic Tories.

I'm doing okay, stuff everyone else.

That really would be disastrous for Labour. They're already facing some massive losses according to the exit polls in Scotland, so losing their chancellor as well would be terrible.

Would Ed Balls still be allowed to be chancellor if he lost his seat in the commons and was no longer an MP?

Well...

The YouGuv poll is far more in line with all the pre election polls and the exit poll has a margin of error with 20-25 seats so we can hope it's above that.

last time exit Poll
Tories 307
lab 255

The Tories ended up getting 1 less and lab 3 more.

I would be fairly confident that the exit poll by Sky will be within 5 seats either way for the big 2.

Ignoring all that I don't understand how anybody could vote for a guy and a party which aims to repeal the hunting ban and then claim that it's a "sport". Football's a sport. Rugby's a sport. Snobs chasing a terrified animal and cheering and applauding as their hounds rip it to shreds is not a sport. I couldn't live with myself knowing I'd voted for that.

One exit poll and the anti-Tory brigade are out with the personal slurs and jaded class arguments.

And many in this thread were criticising large sections of the press for what exactly? Oh, i remember now.
