Genuine question. Like him or not, Corbyn has always been spoken about as a man with morals above all else.
But he lost the previous two elections, had he stepped down last time we might have had a different result today.
So is he not another career politician? In which case, man or morals is all bollocks? Surely for the greater good he should have stepped down?
Whaaat you’re saying a man united football forum isn’t representative of 67 million people?!Do you think we are oblivious to that fact? We discuss it on a daily basis.
Momentum killed the party. You don't go full Corbyn, no matter how appetising it sounds. You need to compromise with what others want. Ironically, you need to be socialist.
I agree. However it's not as if the right are having to compromise.

Scotland probably be leaving. Not sure what we'll find ourselves doing to out-do you at that point.
All his greatest hits in one double disk package! Its looking like a massive landslide to the Tories. Restored my faith in this country.
100%. It'll split.I can't see it happening. This is going to get worse imo.
Don't think people are particularly shocked at conservative winning, it's more the margin.Time for some people to wake up and look around them?
Shock of some of you that the Tories won is surprising to me, labour honestly never had a chance imo.
Such a huge difference in the poll here and yet a completely different outcome in the election.
Shades of what I’ve always maintained, that the general opinion of the caf is FAR removed from that of the general match going fan.

The fact that the Cafe is more left-leaning than society as a whole was quite clearly known by people on here, although a lot of people on here voted for Labour the consensus was that most (myself included) expected the Tories to win. I think the scale of the majority being projected is a surprise, including the pollsters, but you're wrong to think that most on here weren't aware that the Tories were obviously going to be the biggest party and likely with a majority. Most are yes, quite obviously.
15 properties (some houses, some flats) - if you are counting...
@Sultan - I assume you will take action on this one.
I know six people from extended family and friends who have suffered illness and used NHS in past 9 months; being treated for stomach cancer breast cancer, stroke, serious car accident and a heart attack.
I've made a point to ask all of them about their NHS experience and if they were happy with the service they got. All were full of praise, delighted with NHS and think they are alive because of the care they got.
I know it qualitative and the stats paint a different picture, but our health service is already one of the very best in the world. And that context is delibereky lost when politicians engage in hyperbole to win votes.
Ah, the dying while standing approach. I respect it.I think so. We'll finally get to find out if Brexit is a good idea or not. They have no excuses now and will own the outcome. At least Britain is driving straight off the cliff rather than stumbling along the edge.
Most are yes, quite obviously.

Redneck styleI ain't no grass
Guy at work has spent the last year posting daily messages on Facebook about the SNPs and anti Tory memes. In the last week he kept reposting "protect the NHS" and "stop the Tories" memes.
He came in today and when I asked him who he voted for in the morning he said he couldn't do it because he couldn't find his polling card. When I told him that he didn't need it he just shrugged and said that he wasn't going near the station again today. We work ten minutes drive from it so he could've done it on his lunch break but instead he just sat on his arse watching YouTube. He's currently on Facebook right now talking about how shit the election result was.
Modern politics in a nutshell, basically. Just make sure that you appear active.
I saw it and agreed with it.Can i mod return my post for a little while, i don't care if he was trolling, and i don't care if i get banned for a while, id rather a few more people actually take in the message on this bitter bitter evening.
I think it got deleted from the thread you forwarded it into as well unfortunately, i think its important frankly.I saw it and agreed with it completely.

Baddiel has just hit the nail on the head.
The Corbynistas need to stop telling everyone with a different opinion to "feck off and join the Tories".
I saw it and agreed with it too, like Olly said. Can a mod return my post for a little while, i don't care if he was trolling, and i don't care if i get banned for a while, id rather a few more people actually take in the message on this bitter bitter evening.

If the exit poll is correct. The reality is, Brexit has potentially taken away Labour heartlands. The Labour policy of a second referendum, which actually was rather centrist (and is the most rational solution), failed.Nope, they are going to dig deeper and blame everyone but themselves.
It's pretty amazing they can't see the ridiculousness in attacking everyone and everything even slightly different to their views whilst expecting support.
The party was already ripped apart before this humiliation, and there's no desire to bring it back together it seems.
I deleted it from there as I assumed a mod would have done so at some point anyway.I think it got deleted from the thread you forwarded it into as well unfortunately, i think its important frankly.

Why don't you just feck off and join the Tories? This is OUR party that I've only been an active member of for a couple of years and I know feck all about the real world and you better just back off!Baddiel has just hit the nail on the head.
