What I am not surprised by however is the amount of self righteous indignation that my original post received from those who are clearly whiter than white (mind you I reckon most of them are telling teeny weeny porkies)
Your original post was just a little condescending to be fair. I don't think anyone on here claims to be perfect, but plenty want to make sure the government isn't screwing over those who need their help the most.

Postal Votes!!
Genuine question but let's say I'm an old guy - pushing one hundred - and I send in a postal vote, and then three days later I die in the middle of a coke fueled furry orgy...should my vote still count if I'm dead before the 12th?

Yes it counts.

With the time of year and disillusionment over all the parties this might go down as the most “meh”/depressing election ever

I only follow Twitter, but any of you lads has an idea if other social media (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook) have been so full of politics these days as well? Also with a visible advantage of Labour in terms of sheer volume, range, but also creativty and the way they approach audience?

Please, wont someone please spare a thought for those earning £100k who now may lose a modicum of motivation to earn over £100k because they will pay a slightly higher percentage on anything earned over £100k.

Please just show some empathy for these people too.

"Its My Money"

But what if you post a postal vote and then find out the the person you voted for had been a bit naughty (say they stole someone's phone) and wanted to change you vote, can you do that?

Really it should count double.

Looks like it is going to be a Conservative majority according to the bookies. Brilliant. Sick to death of shite pro labour posts on facebook.

Also - “why can’t I get a GP appointment, why is my neighbourhood flooded, why doesn’t my sick nan have a nurse, why is my son’s music teacher also his physics teacher, why are my trains cancelled, why are the police dropping investigating my house being burgled”

No.

But again undecided voters tend not to vote early by post.

Yeah feck the NHS, feck the poor, feck the economy, feck the future, it’ll be nice not to have to deal with libtards on Twitter. They’re definitely going to stop tweeting forever if it’s a Tory majority tonight.

Guess there's no other good reason to vote for them, so fair enough.

If they do get a majority, there’s a good chance you’ll die if you actually get sick. ;)

Is there a reason you've been absent from this thread? After enjoying your Trump thread contributions in the early years I thought this would have been your bag!

I hardly post anywhere anymore, just too busy, but even then this thread just winds me up too much. I also am sick to death of it, running a pub I hear it 24/7 and have just given up. The majority of voters are uninformed, selfish and very ignorant. We are far too much like the USA and unfortunately, especially where I live, most are like slightly better educated Republicans.

Probably has private health insurance, unless he's one of those get brexit done types.

Well yeah, my point was more that you may have made up your mind but then you could in theory find out something about the party you voted for that was so important that you wanted to change your vote but you're stuck with it.
