UEFA Super Cup

That was really a great play in Villareal's goal. They can play good football when they want to.

Lets hope this goes to 120 mins and pens. Then Chelsea to lose Saturday

What's more embarrassing? Losing to Villarreal as favourites in the Europa League final or losing to them as Champions League winners in the Super Cup?

Looking at the budget gap of both us and Chelsea in comparison with Villarreal, both results are embarassing

Maybe they should be given credit for being a good team that are challenging to play against with Emery.

Or maybe they are not that bad and football is not played on paper. If they win today. They would have beaten arsenal, united and chelsea.

How the feck is this game allowed to have extra time? Nonsense.

Hopefully this settles a few people on the Caf who feared Chelsea were gonna turn in to an unstoppable force this season.

It is only their first game but they haven't looked like world-beaters

Was the whole game as shite as the last 10 minutes of normal time were?

I can't remember a European game involving a Spanish side that wasn't Real or Barca, where I didn't want to scratch my eyes out while watching.

Alot of last season they didn't look like world beaters but they still managed to get to two finals.

Hard to gauge on a glorified friendly.

and fair is fair, it was nowhere near our strongest 11 starting. Starting 11 v Palace will be much different

1-1 and pens AET would be hilarious

Villareal are a tough one to play, and Chelsea are not better than us at all just because they won the champions league luckily and we lost the europa league final. They would not have got out of our group either and the premier league table doesn't lie.

Makes me feel a bit better about us not beating them over 90 minutes now.

Although we were the better side by far they're certainly very tough to beat.

Can defo see why they want to add lukaku to this team. I think they’re being massively overrated this season regardless. Would like to think we finish above them.
