UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

Modric over Camavinga in a game like this feels like a mistake, is he on the the way out?

I like Camavinga coming from the bench but I'm not sure about Modric as a starter. I guess it would be worth it if we can score in the first half of the game.

Somewhere between Heynckes and Flick without the peak of either, so far.

Very possession based with aggressive man oriented pressing. We eased up on the pressing a bit, because we gave up too many counters. The last few months we have found a pretty good balance.
So him relegating Burnley but sticking to his style was the right call as it got him noticed.

has refereeing always been so bad. we know its awful in the PL - the worst in my lifetime - but it seems so few matchdays go by now without one howler or another. For the dortmund one, maybe the ref thought he saw contact from his angle in real time, but why is it not fixed. Its arguably decided the game and is such a clear error

Dortmund are doing this again where they sit back and try to conserve a lead rather than focus on counter attacking. They suck at it and will likely concede.

For him. Don't know about Burnley.

What sticks out about him are his man management and his charisma. He comes across as an extremely likable dude and the team is really buying into his approach. That's where Nagelsmann and Tuchel struggled the most, I think.

Classic Dortmund. Can have the worst of seasons in the league, but somehow in the CL they suddenly figure out how to play football.

Deserved win for Dortmund but jeez there were a couple of brainless moments from them towards the end.

Ryerson crossing the ball out of play, rather than just wasting time, with just 2 mins of extra time left and no one near him on the wing. Also Chukuwemka trying to dribble the ball out of pressure rather than pass to an open Ozcan.

They're bottom half in Bundesliga, aren't they?
10th, so only just bottom half, yeah. They've been dreadful again this season, so being surprised how they are faring in the CL is not without reason.

Wonder if anybody bar Arsenal fans will be watching Arsenal?
I'm honestly torn putting it on a second screen and watch the Madrid game. 3 left backs, almost a full B team and 6 goals up will make this a bore.

What at atmosphere in Madrid

An absolute sham that the English media say Anfield is some sort of special place on a European night when you see this
