UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

I guess one advantage for Liverpool/PSG is that Barca and one of the Madrid sides will need to go all out in La Liga still, whereas both of us are way out in front in our domestic seasons.
That's debunked every season, where teams who still run in multiple titles within March/April prefer that to wrap up something before it.

When you think about that, he's become unique because there aren't players like that anymore. Players who are scoring consistently while playing on the wing of their stronger foot.
These players have disappeared
He doesn't actually play on the wing though. He's more of a second striker than anything, which is part of why he's playing so well. Was a good move by Xavi this, Flick's all out attack style turbocharged it

Watching the match on danish tv. One hour prelude with three commercial breaks in between + another one for a betting company and polestar just before the game starts.

It’s nothing new but still annoys me.

Absolutely. I think only Yamal and Musiala are players that come close to exciting me like Pedri does. He really does seem like a hybrid of Xavi and Iniesta and has inherited a lot of both their qualities. Barca are so blessed to have two players like Olmo and Pedri in the team who are both just so so good with their close control of the ball.

Puzzles me just how many Barca fans still seem to want Leao/Nico/any LW despite how effective Raphinha has been all season.
Nobody doubts Raphina at this point. The problem is we don't have any decent sub for the wingers. If Yamal or Raphina get injured we don't have anybody who can remotely do what they do.

What world do these commentators live in, where Liverpool have some amazing, intimidating atmosphere? They say this as they get outsung by PSG fans right in front of all of our eyes.

Surprised Salah didn't go down there. It would've 100% been given a penalty either by the ref or VAR.

Watching Liverpool at Anfield in these second legs of European ties, you just know even if PSG had gotten a 1/2 goal win last week, they'd have probably still gone out today.

Funny how In the space of 2 weeks you can have 2 completely different performances. I guess being at home changes the way you play
