UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

I watched 2-3 of their CL group games and they were fairly poor in those. Even the City game, although they won, I thought they were fairly pedestrial till they went 2 down. They've been a lot lot better in the last two months, ofcourse.
There's a lot of re writing of PSG's start to the season. They were genuinely poor at times, and have gone up quite a few notches, with the team properly gelling, some players reaching top level (Dembélé in particular) and that's about it

I miss the days when we'd go to Paris and park in their half for the full game.

I haven't watched enough of them to make a fair comment but yes, whenever I did watch them in the first half of the season, they weren't anywhere close to the level they've shown since Dembele went into crazy form in the last two months.

Vitinha currently 38/38 passes (most on the pitch) as PSG currently have 63% possession in the game. Would kill for a midfielder like this in the middle of our team
He was supposedly the alternative to FDJ. In the end we brought neither.

Slot actually dared to wait ref at half time to probably complain about something after that half?

Looks more unlikeable every single day.

Yeah, but Liverpool do it with Van Dijk and Konate. Psv used Boscagli and Flamingo.
What does that have to do with Barcola and Dembele missing an open goal? ;)

They had one poor game, against Arsenal

Otherwise they battered everybody else from pillar to post. Atletico beat them and were almost embarassed to have won in the post match interviews, they got massacred throughout

PSG's fullbacks are more offensive against Liverpool than our wing back are at Old Trafford against relegation teams.

We haven't had much chance to see how good Alisson is so far this season, but he's really still class.

Neuer injured, now Urbig, our new 21 years old keeper makes his debut in a CL knockout game...oh well...

PSG clearly giving up much more space this half. They need fresh legs to keep up with the intensity. Would expect Doué to come in sooner rather than later.

Schenzy has single handedly saved Barcelona tonight. If Stegen was fit, they'd be 3 down.

PSG have been poor in the final third. This second half in particular the decision making has been awful.

You can wax lyrical all you want about this PSG performance but it is still 0-0 and the second leg is at Anfield. PSG HAVE to go to that game ahead otherwise its over.
