UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

The most annoying thing is you know PSG need a big lead to take into the 2nd leg because teams love bottling it at Anfield.

Haven't seen Kvratshkelia play this well in some time now

People were bigging up PSG last season but I saw nothing in their performances to support that, they're a completely different proposition this year.

This should be about 4-0 PSG and against 10 men. Ridiculous the luck and “luck” they get.

Feels like the year Liverpool won it when they played Barca (in the semi?) who should’ve scored about 7 in the first leg…only this time without the goals.
That wasn't anywhere near as one sided as this has been. Just the Messi show rather than this all round team performance.

Vitinha, Neves, and Fabián—how many midfielders of that profile do we actually have? You could argue only Mainoo fits the bill, yet the club remains fixated on signing ball winners and high-energy runners like Mount, Ugarte and Casemiro who lack the ability to truly dictate the tempo of a game.

What's worrying is those three cost around 150M.

We've seen this all before. Liverpool haven't turned up at all and yet they'll somehow escape here with a draw or a win.

Watching this at the bar with some neutrals. One of them said “it’s about time Liverpool got a decision tbf - they’re very unlucky”

I’d been waiting for this. All season when we’ve been watching the Scouse play at the pub - I’ve written down when he said Liverpool deserve a decision going their way. He’d said it EIGHT times in total and genuinely couldn’t remember any of them. Once I pointed it out he said “yeah, I do remember some of them actually - that Dalot red card was one of the most scandalous things I’ve ever seen. Yet when I watch Sky - it always feels like they get nothing and it’s United that benefit from decisions.

Wait there I said - whipped out my phone and made everyone watch the penalty we conceded v West Ham. Then the Coventry penalty last year. The Bruno red card v Tottenham.

He was shocked. “But all the pundits just mention United getting everything.”

It might be getting through people. Just got to keep calm and present facts.

We’ll see, that previous PSG side before Messi made the CL final without losing a game in the group which included Real.
I am not talking about whether they will reach a final or not just the way they play. It's absolutely day and night with that team.
It's not a guarantee they will the same stage

Trent's pass completion % must be about 20% this half, every time he's got it he's tried a hopeful long ball downfield.

Of all the things that never happened
