They have previous.

Robben dived for that penalty iirc (shocker!). It was a pretty massive game with both teams fighting for the title I think.

The Spanish players done it to Schweinsteiger in 2008 as well. Really harsh.

Shows how much refereeing luck you need to win this tournament. Bayern should have had reds today but then Dortmund should have gone out to Malaga, etc.

No doubt about that. Bayern got all the referee breaks their way, some way over the top. This is the one really shitty thing about football, how much the ref controls the outcome of a game. And no accountability for feckups.

Shreeves interviewing Robben now.

"So, you won this but you still lost the world cup final for Halland didn't you? Does being bald so young really get you down?"

Very good final, I thought it was pretty even over the 90 minutes with Bayern edging the better chances, although they should have been down to 9 men.

Had a great time in London today and thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with the Dortmund fans in Trafalgar Square and in the pub. That said, congratulations to Bayern on a very well deserved win. This season they have set the standard for all sides in Europe to match up to and I am confident that we can reach that level and meet that challenge eventually.

Congrats Bayern. Would rather have seen Dortmund win, but Bayern clearly the best team in Europe now.

It mostly included a lot of internal details of Bayern Munich and the German national team, which should have remained behind closed doors.

He slandered a lot of his former coaches, including Louis Van Gaal, Jürgen Klinsmann, Felix Magath and especially Rudi Völler.

He called the 2004 EURO team for example a lazy bunch of unproffessional players, who prefered to play Playstation instead of Training.

did you even read it?

The roar when the penalty went in. Chilling.

Dortmunds supports were so young. I swear not one of them was over 23,

A good final, all in all. I think I celebrated Subotic's clearance more than Klopp. Well done, Bayern, though Robben can still feck off.

It was enjoyable and good game to watch. Borussia's shitty defence probably decided the winner.

This season has proved that Bayern is exceptionally well-balanced in terms of strength. If you try to tiki-taka them out, then you're gonna get overrun. If you try to fall back, then you're gonna get blasted by world-class attacks that are sure to end in goals. If you try to apply high pressure, then you're gonna be counter-attacked to hell by Ribery and Robben.

Dortmund chose high-pressure and it almost worked. Had they scored once or twice during the first 30 minutes, then I think they would have won the game. They could have used their remaining strength on trying to overrun Bayern's midfield, and their fullbacks could have focused more on defending, making it hard for Robben and Ribery to play their game.

It was a great game where anything could have happened, thanks to Neuer and Weidenfeller. This was in no way a typical 2-1 game. The score might as well have been 4-3

Testament to a long-term, fan-friendly approach and quite the contrast with the ageing Brits that form the majority of our own fanbases.

The average age of a PL club supporter is around 50 years old. Surely down to affordability.

Had Dortmund scored in the first 30 minutes when they were on top they might have won it.

They created very little in the second half.
With the score at 1-1 Lewandowski got the ball on the left, half way inside the Bayern half with Blasko...., Blaschkow....., Blasckow.... . the Polish lad up with him.
I waited for the yellow shirts to come and support and they made no effort.
Maybe their legs had gone.

Also Dortmunds defence were shocking, the times Bayern got behind them was embarrassing.

Dante should have been off.

I might have missed it but did Kevin Groskreutz offer anything going forward at all? I can remember most of their team popping up forward at some point or the other but not Groskreutz. I had to actually double check if he was playing:nervous:

Call him Kuba. Everyone does it.

Weidenfellar was always going to be made to pay for his reckless charging from the line which is his trademark.

I can't imagine how horrible that last 15-20 minutes was for a Dortmund fan. They kept making mistake after mistake, and it was so obviously going to cost them, but the way it eventually happened was so awful.

Referee was shit, to Bayerns advantage.

Dortmunds keeper was rubbish for the first goal.

I assume your a Dortmund fan Jaap how did you feel it went and what does the future hold for Dortmund in your opinion with Gotze and most likely Lewandowski leaving.

I'm not a Dortmund fan, United first and foremost, but I was watching the game with a couple of Dortmund supporters, who were really proud of the team's display last night and generally with their football in the CL this season.

The key is now to replace Lewandowski with a fitting striker, but that's very hard at the moment and I think Dortmund will announce the departure of Lewandowski once they have signed a replacement.

Their first signing of the season is the Greek versatile defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Werder Bremen, who will fill in for Lukasz Piszczek, who will have to undergo a hip operation and will be out for around four months.

Klopp, Zorc and Watzke will sign the right replacement and I can see Dortmund challenge Bayern for the league next season - definitely.

A lot of protection of Bayern ultimately in the CL from the refs, IMO, but they have been the best team overall this season, can't dispute that. Dortmund, what can you say, how can you not like that team/club and their fans?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/25/borussia-dortmund-bayern-munich-ratings

i really wonder what game the Guardian has watched... Hummels better than Subotic, Schweinsteiger better than Martinez, Robben and Ribery same mark (8/10 - i wonder what Robben has to do to get a 9 or 10?), Müller a 6, Gündogan a 7/10, Boateng a 4???

Wouldn't argue to much with Muller's rating. The most eventful thing he did was pass when one on one and then outrageously dive.

Robben had countless clear cut chances to put Dortmund to the sword. No way did he deserve a 10!

Well, scoring one (and what a goal!) and assisting the other one in a final like this should account for something. Had Reus or Götze (had he played) done the same thing, they'd have gotten an 11, i feel.

This. If he'd failed to score one, it would have been poor, because he was put clear through five or six times and kept just smashing it straight at Weidenfeller.

Bayern deservedly win. Best team in the world.

Amazing triumph to win the title. Knocking out Arsenal and Juventus before humiliating Barcelona.

Sensational team. And they're buying big in the summer - bringing in Gotze and Lewandowski.

Meanwhile, at United - We're looking at Maroune Fellaini.

Good God.

Who said "we're looking at Mourane Fellani" ?

It's questions like this the transfer muppets never answer.
