UEFA Champions League 24/25 - Playoff Round - 11/02/25 - 12/02/25 and 18/02/25 - 19/02/25

All the away teams on course to go through today... we're they all the underdogs too?

How long until the bigger teams (well, Bayern - who only play 34 league games anyway) moan more about fixture congestion from these additional games

Generally yes. Who plays at home today finished higher in the league, the lower placed teams play away. This is how the draw was made.

Celtic Bayern goes extra time and pens if it stays like this, right?

Such a big brain move by Bayern to let go of Tel in January without signing a backup striker.

I know this.... but that has nothing to do with anything.

Milan faves, Bayern massive faves, Atalanta faves, just wasn't sure on Benfica-Monaco.

I've been a big fan of his for a while but Goretzka has been utterly terrible. Apart from missing the two best chances of the match, he's been poor in the ball as well. Pavlovic needs to come on just to have an extra build up option.

Him, Stanisic and Kim have probably been the worst players on the pitch.

Gutting for Celtic. Goretzka missed another sitter but great energy from Davies to get there.

Celtic do have themselves to blame, they became way to defensive when they could've still attacked Bayern on the counter.

Bayern were awful but probably deserved a shit draw on chances. Celtic lost all goal threat.

Find some reason to disallow it, come on

what's even the point of VAR

I feel bad for Schmeichel, he was outstanding once again. The rest of his team however looked like they gave up on deciding the game in normal time and just wanted to go to penalties. I don't understand why they did not keep putting pressure on Bayern, they had an excellent chance to win this in normal time with how many great chances the Bayern defense permitted them. If they had been just a smidgen more clinical this would have ended 1-3 or 1-4.
