UEFA Champions League 18/19 Matchday 5 fixtures (27th - 28th November 2018)

Looks like cl is a write off this year. We're dreadful away from home in Europe

With this result, Liverpool and PSG will go trough.

Liverpool will win at home against Napoli.

He's still better than any other CB playing in the PL right now.

Surely you can see the positive impact he's had on our defense since joining? The numbers speak for themselves.

That's great man, he's a good centre back. But the standard of centre backs in this league is shocking.

Anyone saying that he's one of the best in the world doesnt have a clue about defending. Van Dyke commits so many positional/anticipation mistakes over a season. He can't hold a candle to the defenders in Seria A that are so well trained in the art of defending.

This is shocking, I knew soon as soon as I saw that lineup shifted backline to accommodate Lovren and that pedestrian midfield 2016 throwback. It's about time Klopp shows some tactical prowess tonight, i'm yet to see it in these difficult european games. Becoming a theme when we start slow, and concede early that's it, goodnight.

I guess Klopp fears that TAA is too suspect defensively.

If Napoli score doesn't Liverpool have to score 3?

Only 2. Head-to-head matters only. Edit: Oh you meant on the night versus us. We have to win by 2, so yeah, if they score 1, we need 3+.

Our lack of intensity going forward has hurt us in Europe this season.

TAA on for Lovren is a change I'd make for the second half, you guys missing having a natural RB there. In big games like these you need top full backs to attack and create space too. Henderson for Keita or Shaqiri would be tempting but then you'd lose defense in midfield but gain attack, so a harder call to make.

Wijnaldum shocking away from home, what is up with this player?

PSG player's celebration was quite intense. For all the talk of them not being a tight-knit team, they expectably crave to succeed in the CL.
Because that's why they are bought for. If the results stay, Liverpool has to beat Napoli by two goals at home. I can actually see Liverpool rising to the occasion and doing this but if Napoli scores first, they are in trouble. Doesn't help that Napoli is managed by the most successful manager in CL in Ancelotti. Liverpool really screwed up by losing to Red Star Belgrade.

It's still only 1-0. This game is far from over

Neymar is looking really good despite most likely not being 100%. I thought it'd be risky to have him play in the game but so far so good.

I have no idea why Klopp keeps using Gomez as the backup RB. Why break up a good CB partnership to play one of them at a position they are not very good at.

Napoli 2-0. Mertens scored. Why is PSG playing in their white kit at home.

Agreed. Gomez looks a bit shit at RB, not a natural in the position at all.
