I have to admit they are pretty good... in snowball.
Ancelotti has made this team incredibley balanced. They nearly have all the same players like last season but worked on their tactics and it shows. Even Isco, who played very well in his first months, has become a victim to this system. Ronaldo and Bale on the wings is simply deadly.
They've resorted to giving Draxler smelling salts to actually wake him up in this match.
If it makes you feel any better, I bet £50 @1.55 just after Chelsea scored that they wouldn't score more than 1 this half.

no bang?I can believe Neymar can become better than Bale. He's got a certain wow factor and close control that Bale lacks. I think he will become a better all round contributor than Bale. But in terms of what he can give his team right away, Bale knows what he's doing.

I think that Neymar is a better talent than Robinho. I also think that us British can often be harsh on our own but for me Bale is as good a talent as Neymar.
I think that Bale has more chance of emulating Ronaldo than Neymar does of Messi......if you know what I mean.

The shoot is extremely central and weak and Casillas simply dives in the hope of getting it. He was always a fantastic shoot stopper and I often take a stand for GK, being one myself, but this save was not really special.
Real playing such fast football reminds how we used to play when Ronaldo was still here and then I remember the game from yesterday.
Very impressive first half by Real Madrid and special mention to Modric, Di Maria, Benzema and Bale. Ronaldo has been the petulant child he's always been.
do people who closely follow madrid and ronaldo really refer to him as a winger? he virtually does nothing to deserve being called a winger, he doesn't attack the flanks and cross, he doesn't create plays from the sides, he doesn't help with build ups and overlap runs, he just lurks there waiting for benzema to drop out to the sides so that he can attack the holes benzema creates. he's been playing centrally almost every time in the 20 odd times i've watched madrid in the last 2 seasons.Ronaldo is no Jese.
i understand that too, it has that element of seemingly just making yourself big and hoping, but casillas has done this so often that there must be an element of calculation to his saves, if not reflexes.
You don´t calculate much from this distance, you simply react. His reflexes have always been stellar, though.
While its true that the shot was too square it would have gone in had Casillas not moved to his right. It wasn't exactly hit directly at him either and it was point blank range too. It was a great reflex save imo. Looks better from the other angle.
