U23s vs Blackburn

Another quality goal by United. Shoretire gets the ball on the left flank deep in the midfield, and he beats one Blackburn player whilst driving into the final third before laying the ball off to Fernandez. Fernandez then puts in a great cross, which Hugill couldn't get on the end of, but Amad controls it in the box. He fakes a shot and holds onto the ball a second longer before cutting it back to Shoretire who was sprinting into the middle. Shoretire then finishes it low and hard to the left past two Blackburn players on the goal line.

This has been a highly entertaining game of football. Now it's our turn to defend deep in our third and hold onto the lead.

I went for a piss at 4-2. Jesus.

I had no idea Amad was that quick.

Amad's technique is unreal, what a strike.

Neville is having a stormer down the right, really happy to see.

Some serious talent in this team.

What a goal! I enjoyed that a ton. Words can describe how good that goal was.

Amad, once again, showed the maturity and composure in the situation. He held onto the ball for 4-5 seconds with no Blackburn player even closing him down! That's how good he is.

@jb8521 has a go at the Caf on Twitter

He’s right! Same with posters saying Diallo isn’t ready and getting really agitated when people point out his transfer fee, our lack of options at RW and his league/cl cameo minutes as to why he should be in the first team squad. He’s clearly too good for this level. No acclimatisation needed. Best off getting more senior minutes under his belt asap.

Who exactly was having a go?
Several Caf members were criticising Shoretire on the Caf after some his performances in a couple of our recent losses (I think Leicester in particular?).

Keeps going on like this and the 3 of them need an appearance this season depending on the next FA Cup draw. Shoretire, Amad, Hannibal.

We got some real exciting prospects in the U23's. The future is bright.

I criticised him last week against Liverpool, obviously made me look a mug, and not for the first time.
