U23s vs Blackburn

I think he meant it having seen the replay. He played similar passes when he was at Monaco where he looked one way and pierces the line between the CB and fullback playing the ball in a difference direction.
Honestly, Hannibal's vision is impressive. He just needs to start absorbing all of the info quicker to get used to more intense first-team football. We can see, however, that he is growing via his quicker decision-making, not necessarily going for the extravagant options, and with the movements of his head off the ball.

It’s weird. We've always traditionally produced solid defenders for the first team and struggled to produce world class attackers but the last few crops the ones who made it/look most likely to make it are the attackers.
Mengi and Bernard out on loan, don´t forget. But then, yes, there is not much left.

How long's Elanga out for? Think it'd be fun to see a frontline of Hugill, Shoretire, Diallo, Elanga, Mejbri and Puigmal at least once before Diallo gets moved up full time.

I think the system's exactly like the first team's one in that it doesn't really offer the CBs a lot of protection, not to say they haven't been sloppy all season and they're certainly not blameless but we reguarly play with Mejbri and Puigmal as midfielders who spend most of the game in the opposition half and high attacking full backs which leaves our defenders exposed quite a lot.
I'd say it's even more attacking than the first team. In our 4-2-3-1, the second midfielder often doesn't push up so high on every occasion, whilst in the U23s, we play more of a 4-1-4-1. The fact that we don't have a dedicated DM in the U23s (see Svidersky for the U18s) means that our defence often gets exposed.
Hm, did you see Liverpool last game? But second worse, perhaps.
I didn't, but I caught the highlights. The lack of height is just one facet; the bigger issue is our two central defenders defending more like midfielders, but it's not like the U23s typically defend well this season.

Call me crazy but I think Hannibal could do very well for United 1st team if he got some minutes.
He´s got the skills, but still lacks the physics, IMO. I think he needs to bulk up a bit to survive in the PL (e.g. look what difference that made to Greenwood´s game coming back from lockdown last spring).

He's 100% starting to see things quicker and his decision making is improving all the time. Really nice player to watch develop.

He made similar pass against Everton last season.

But he will have good chemistry with Bruno and Pogba

I'm hoping for Shoretire to follow suit and become quicker on the ball as well, particularly next season. For his first season in the U23s, he hasn't done terribly, but he does look like he still needs to adapt the greater physicality and intensity.

RE Hannibal's pass for the second goal - Its as if he meant to pass it to the right, over the defenders head, but miss kicked it and turned in to a much cleverer pass than he meant. But let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Top player.

I'd have thought we'd have played Fernandez at CB with Williams LB but I guess Williams will be on the bench tomorrow.
I think so too, and Tuanzebe out of the squad again.

i wonder anyone here could help reach MUTV. I have a problem with MUTV subscription, and it is a really weird one.

I have a six-month pass, which is active. but I could not watch anything other than the promo video of 35 seconds. But when I tried to click "subscribe" before subscribing six-month pass, it clearly told me that my subscription is active. When I chose the one-month pass, I could actually proceed to subscribe.

You should email the customer support mate. Nothing anyone here can do:

What is Levitt playing at?

That's never a fecking penalty either. Honestly no idea how this Blackburn team are top but if their luck tonight is anything to go off then maybe I'm starting to sense why. Again that whole passage of play came from our sloppy pass in the final 3rd/

Jesus, our defending
To be fair we're playing 3 fullbacks and a central midfielder in defence, it's not a surprise.

The midfield is having a poor game too.

Foul on Fernandez, not given
I wouldn't necessarily say that. It'd have been a soft concession, but given how Blackburn won their pen, there's a fair case for the ref being inconsistent if not biased against United.

It's been the same story most of the season even when we had Fish and Mengi.

Also the bloke who dived for the penalty has been booked, I can't defend Mejbri's attitude all the time but he's getting kicked all over the fecking place.
I hate this kid, Levitt. I don't even know him personally but his passing makes me irrationally angry.
His confidence is likely shot after a very poor loan spell, his passing's usually his best asset.

See the coach's instruction is to niggle Hannibal and do whatever it takes. Working so far, he hasn't had the space to be as dominant

Diallo runs a bit like a left footed Martial. Not sure if that's a good sign or a bad sign

I feel for Hugill, who's struggling to get involved. He's barely been involved the whole match with the ball mostly being circulated among Amad, Hannibal, and Shoretire.

Diallo should've scored there. Poor Levitt with a solid 0/10 tonight.

The real talent in this team is definitely going forwards it seems.
