Tyrell Malacia | Romano: Here we go…

Calling this bs. I was told by posters with shit loads of confidence that we can work on only one deal at a time.
Its very disappointing, everyone knows transfers must be completed by opening day of the window and a club must have scouted the player for a minimum of two years for it to count. This window has been a disaster and I for one will be protesting at the very first pre-season game if I do not see a goal with a minimum of 67 and a half passes made before scoring.

What!!! I was away an hour and we bought Malacia.
Like the guy Evra 2.0, didn't think we would sign a left back this summer but oh well......Shaw needs bring back the Shawberto Carlos persona or to the bench he goes, this guy is good!!

now just get Dumfries for the right hand side and ETH will have the sort of attacking FB's that suit him

Forgive me for the laziness if this has aldready been adressed...
But why are we in for this fella when we have quality talents like Sam Murray and Alvaro Fernandez? I still also believe in Brandon Williams for that matter.
Sell Telles, give Shaw one last go as the first choice and we still have three big talents fighting behind him. Do we really need another LB?
I would think this affects Fernandez and Murrays chances quite much and from what Ive heard this Malacia dude would still be a work in progress...

We should definitely cash in now before he gets injured again
We’ve quite a few players in that position at the mo, it’s an interesting one!

Shaw, Rashford, Fred, Dalot, and De Gea are all expiring 2023 with option of +1.

I have absolutely no idea who he is nor can I remember ever watching him play.

I'm not even going to youtube him as that gives a false narrative of a players ability 100 times out of 100.

All I will say is. ten Hag has been after him for some time so he must rate him.

Given the cost, his age, the fact the manager rates him and our current options at left back, then it's a no brainer

I assume this is curtains for Williams and Telles.
I sure hope we don't fail to pick up a RB this window. Our attacks are always so ineffective down the right

Could be the beginning of the end for Shaw. His contract is running out. Maybe we could cash in.

I’ve not seen much of this lad play other than in the Europa Conference League final last season in which he really did impress me with his forward runs and passes/crosses into the attacking areas.

Hopefully provides better competition to Shaw for that LB position as Telles was just simply not good enough.

Hopefully ETH has his eyes on a new RB as well as both AWB & Dalot are nowhere near good enough.

You know when certain players pass the eye test. He certainly does.
He is like an evra regen to me. He seems way more athletic than Telles which is important.

We should do this with all transfers. Wait until someone else finds a fee and then come in. If we’d have initially approached it would’ve been 30m by now.

Believe Liverpool are known to do this from time to time.

Would have thought Shaw to be honest, hes not a cut out for a squad role. Injured too often, takes him a few games to get going and on pretty high wages.

Telles is toast, Shaw will stay

Don't have any real expectations for the player but it's promising that we've been able to pull the trigger quickly to get the deal done. Hopefully we'll be able to do the same for a couple more players when the time comes.

and no, I don’t care if his name is pronounced different. This is all I can think of when I read Malacia

He's a clever fullback, watched him in the europa final, his coach liked him to come narrow almost into a cm role and pick the ball up then play one twos and go wide, or fire long range shots off.

Really tenacious, end product isn't always on point, but does put some quality balls in at times and long range shooting looked a threat.

Looked full of energy and desire, real engine on the lad, and looks an honest pro with no ego or posturing
Sounds good. Is he a pacy player?

Good luck Tyrell, United have got a cracking player. He will run up and down the left wing like Evra on edibles.
Evra one of my faves. Is he a pacy player? Better than Shaw/Telles? Well Telles has been awful, lool.

This is what Woodward done with Shaw, went in all guns blazing

This guy, Ericksen, De Jong and one more, Anthony perhaps and it wouldn't be a bad summer at all.

Jones, Telles, Pierera and co to be off loaded.

Fair point, you know that Kalvin Phillips would have been at least £70M if United had enquired...!!
