Worst scout to ever exist
He had knee surgeryWas the type of injury ever confirmed? Still hear the odd rumble that it was personal issues rather than injury issues he was facing.

And there was a very long article by the Athletic about how it all came about. I can't post links but you can easily find it online. He had knee surgery
Tbf quite a few of our rejects have gone and done well over the years, but not to a point where we have regretted the decision.Betis really rate our players...

Why ? He's not a wingback and I'm sure they have their own player of interest lined up as a replacement.Surprised he did not go on loan to Lecce as part of the Dorgu deal

I've been a Betis fan since Jammy Seville came on the scene
Get in touch and he'll fix it for you.that just sounds very very wrong but i cant figure out why

I think that would be a very good move.Allegedly Celtic want him if they can’t get Tierney
Alvaro Fernandez was a young player who shined at Preston and just needed to be given a chance.Apparently Benfica wants Malacia

Next season we will talking how United mishandled Malacia I guess. Kinda surprised with this but after what happened with Carreras they might want to have another go at a United out of favor player. He will probably be Carreras replacement if he is sold and if Malacia stint goes well.
I was being sarcastic and I agree with your points. I don't think United will get Carreras back. Amorim knows him well from the portuguese league and matchups as Sporting manager against Benfica. If he opted not to go for him at cut price, he probably thinks he doesn't fit his system.Alvaro Fernandez was a young player who shined at Preston and just needed to be given a chance.
Malacia is a 25 year old who has never been particularly good and lost any resemblance of speed due to injuries.
No one will be regretting Malacia and the only mishandling of him would be letting him see the pitch again after being hooked at half time on 4 out of 5 starts.
If we were smart we’d be getting Alvaro back and letting them have Malacia.
If Malacia kicks on and is a star at Benfica, I'm putting that down to a Portuguese league issue. Nothing to do with United for sure - he's had plenty of chances and is just not at the level we need. Some of the things he does are so brain dead. Wish him the best at his next club.Apparently Benfica wants Malacia

Beat me to it!Hopefully the poster will ’fix it’ for you!
I’d be a bit concerned if he did and then we signed Carreras! How’s he going to get minutes ahead of Carreras?
Very disappointed. My least favourite player in the squad and the definition of a nothing player. Hopefully, someone comes in for him before the deadline. At least, the club has correctly identified him as dispensable.
