Tyrell Malacia (Out) | talks with Benfica collapse

He had knee surgery
And there was a very long article by the Athletic about how it all came about. I can't post links but you can easily find it online.

Any way we can interest them in Mount, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Rashford and others too? Maybe we can give them discound if they take them all?

Apparently Benfica wants Malacia

Next season we will talking how United mishandled Malacia I guess. Kinda surprised with this but after what happened with Carreras they might want to have another go at a United out of favor player. He will probably be Carreras replacement if he is sold and if Malacia stint goes well.
Alvaro Fernandez was a young player who shined at Preston and just needed to be given a chance.

Malacia is a 25 year old who has never been particularly good and lost any resemblance of speed due to injuries.

No one will be regretting Malacia and the only mishandling of him would be letting him see the pitch again after being hooked at half time on 4 out of 5 starts.

If we were smart we’d be getting Alvaro back and letting them have Malacia.

I was being sarcastic and I agree with your points. I don't think United will get Carreras back. Amorim knows him well from the portuguese league and matchups as Sporting manager against Benfica. If he opted not to go for him at cut price, he probably thinks he doesn't fit his system.

If Malacia kicks on and is a star at Benfica, I'm putting that down to a Portuguese league issue. Nothing to do with United for sure - he's had plenty of chances and is just not at the level we need. Some of the things he does are so brain dead. Wish him the best at his next club.

Nice move...he needs regular minutes to get back to being anywhere near fully match fit.

A less physical league will also help.

Nobody can have anything bad to say about Malacia, hope it all works out for him.

Should not play for us again. Nothing player, sadly. Hopefully he can generate some value on loan.

I’m glad he’s going out too. Seems a decent lad but given I see lots of pictures of him out with Rashford in and around MCR, having both out of the dressing can only do positive things.
He’s a very, very average LB though. A poor purchase so any money from him via a sale or loan would be amazing.

Not surprised they are a decent club and he’s absolutely garbage. Celtic would be a more realistic move.

Very disappointed. My least favourite player in the squad and the definition of a nothing player. Hopefully, someone comes in for him before the deadline. At least, the club has correctly identified him as dispensable.

Maybe a blessing in disguise, if an alternative can be found, as doubt he’d have played much at Benfica.

Hard choice between him and Lindelof for me.
