Its been talked about numerous times that Messi disrespected Guardiola in front of the team on several occasions. There may be something in it.

Maybe. 1st time am hearing it. Wouldnt surprise me if he's acted a cnut at time, its inevitable when a player has that much power.

So people accuse Manchester United of bending over for Wayne Rooney. What about Barcelona now?

Difference is they are right in bending over for him. Even at his very worst form, Messi is still in the top 3 footballers in the world at any given time because he just has that much talent. For a player playing as badly as he has this season, his stats are incredible. Rooney on the other hand in bad form (which is much too frequently for our liking) is as good as your pub league striker and absolutely useless. Even at his very best he is absolutely nowhere near Messi. Fair play to Rooney's agent, the club got made an absolute fool made out of them by paying Messi-like wages to him.

At his worst form still at least top 2.

He's a petulant little child. The stories about him with the likes of Ibra and Villa, along with the one where he played an entire training session with a spoon in his mouth and didn't say a word speaks volumes about his so called "perfect footballer" image

I think fans tend to like his on field character more than anything. Physically he isn't built to play the best football but he does. He is subjected to shitload of tackles(fair/unfair) but you hardly see him whine or complain. His reaction has always been to dust it off and get back into the game. Its easy to see why fans warm upto him easily.

But for a change he is bang on this time.
In some parts, sure. I have thought the same about Smalling and Jones, but then remember that neither of them have had a decent run of games in their favoured position. I don't agree that Moyes is essentially free of blame which is what Keane is getting at.

Keane really is a gobshite. One thing Jones needs to do is not toughen up it's to learn not to throw himself into challenges constantly. He also hasn't a clue why we failed to sign players last season.

I honestly don't read a paragraph that involves Moyes. I'm sick and tired to read something about him. But the things about Woodward, Smalling and Jones. The Ferdinand thing is harsh but the way he acted all season on twitter I think he has a valid point.

The most relevant from my timeline at the moment...

Oh, Keane. Can't ever keep it shut.

Other than the sensationalist headline, its just Keane being Keane and stating the obvious.

This did make me laugh

Keane was not surprised that Rio Ferdinand will leave United this summer or bothered that the defender was not given a chance to say goodbye to the Old Trafford crowd.

"That might have suited him," he said. "Not everybody wants to wander around the pitch waving and crying. It's not about walking on the pitch – I don't know where you're going with this one. He didn't have a chance to say goodbye? You can say goodbye on Twitter, can't you?"

Yeah, it's nice that Keane is talking about the 9-10 matches he's seen. What happened with the other 40? Or between them? Playing different positions, never playing regularly, certainly in one position, etc. They haven't progressed, not enough anyway, but a lot of it has to do with the way their last two managers handled them.

He has a point.

But Jones or Smalling + new CB (I don't rate Evans so much) must be our first choice duo for 30+games next season

They aren't full-backs......this

Di Santo is a joke

Tevez hasn't played for Argentina since the Copa America 2011 i think
Has Di Santo even scored this season.

I forgot that Di Santo is that gigolo that used to be around Martinez at Wigan. He is the true definition of a striker that doesn't score.

Sorry but what does Roy Keane know about being the CE of a business? Precisely feck all, same as the majority of us do. None of us what it is like to do Woodward's job or what it actually entails.

I never really know if I should be starting new threads for things like this and the Roy Keane one I posted above.

Anyway, relatively interesting insight although he was never going to come out all guns blazing at Moyes.

Has Keane invested in a mirror company? Apparently everybody at United needs to "look at their self".

Mirror sponsor?

Not from twitter but still highly enjoyable

Reading between the lines, I'm starting to give more credibility to the Moyes showing them the video story....But that's just me. Could be wrong

My thoughts exactly. If it didn't happen I think he would just have said outright it didn't happen. Refusing to answer in such a manner certainly adds weight to the argument that it either 1) happened as reported or 2) something very similar happened.

Anyway, another tweet:

Rio had hardly covered himself in glory recently. Before even leaving the club he's announced a book dishing out all the club's dirt and expects a holy grail.
