Yeah, I was going to say, sounds exactly like Fellaini. We need more mobility in midfield.

Anyway, like I said I haven't watched him at all so its no point rushing to conclusions.

Don't get me wrong, he doesn't remind me of Fellaini when I watch him play. I just think that what he brings to the table is exactly what we are asking of Fellaini right now. He's a better passer and much less clumsy but as we have Fellaini, I don't see the value of spending a lot of money on him. I'd rather we brought in a couple of much more dynamic and mobile midfielders.

Fellaini for all his height and build doesn't take control enough, this lad will

Damn right he will. He has the ( I hate to say it like everyone else) Toure like presence and passing range.

And to everyone who says he's too slow. You don't have to be fast to be a very good midfielder. You can have exceptional positioning, which is almost as good as being a highly energetic tackler in the same area. Carvalho plays a deep, defensive playmaker role. If you've watched a match of his, you might feel like he's slow, but he has a sudden change in pace. But, what's most peculiar is that he always seems to get to where the ball is played on time.

Toure is a lot like that. He can be fast, but by no means is he like that all the time. You often see in the highlight reels where he;s running at defenders. But, apart from that it's very good positioning which makes him such a presence in midfield. Carvalho is in the exact same mould. Good feet, great passing, good positioning and a big lad!

Why do people quote him. feck the attention seeking twonk (Castle)
Because he's a journalist, and we tend to post news from journalists.

You clearly don't follow his work. He has countless (exclusive) stories that have been proven correct.

Mourinho looking to sell Mata, wanting to bring back Matic, Nani signing a new contract, Pogba looking to leave and then signing for Juve, Ronaldo's new Madrid contract, Baines' new Everton contract, City's approach for Pellegrini, Spurs' sacking of AVB and appointment of Sherwood. I could go on.

Are you Duncan Castles?

Pack it in, Duncan. You're only kidding yourself.

Bullshit and no biggie anyway as our fans are ridiculous.

Senior Glazer employee pretty much means "um lets sound like we have a source".

Has anybody ever said 'upcoming news' or whatever and then actually said anything worth your time?
Always something very useless. Probably something like "Nothing new or confirmed with new sponsorship deal yet". If they had actual news, they'd be running to be the first ones to post it.

It doesn't matter what kind of outlet it is - a big newspaper, a medium sized website, a small fanzine - everyone can deliver a reliable piece of big news. When it comes to previous reports from RI about what's happening on the training field, all it takes really is one player, friendly with someone there for some reason, to spill the beans. But to have both that and also a source at management level? Not bloody likely.

Isn't he the guy who said yesterday the claims we have two deals lined up are wrong? So it shouldn't be a transfer... Unless of course he'll call it 'new'.

Characteristic of such problems was Moyes instructing the team to employ a 4-3-3 formation against City at Old Trafford after preparing to play a 4-4-2 in pre-derby training sessions.

I want to believe every word in that, but I'll believe it when I see some action.

I'd fully believe the tactics thing.
I've heard numerous times, even before he became United manager, that he doesn't inform of the tactics until matchday.
And also, the fact Fellaini was out on the left bloody wing alot of the time last night would also suggest this!!!

I'm just going to ignore the bellends.

I do hope this is true. His record on managerial dismissals is very good although he's much better connected to Spurs, Chelsea, City than he is United to be fair.

Would it really be such a surprise if they didn't have ideas to fall back on should it all go wrong with Moyes?

I don't think that is the most surprising notion raised in the article at all, it is the idea that the board maybe are prepared to sack him sooner rather than later that is most unexpected. For me anyway.

The last thing Castles broke was about Evra having an extension in his contract which both parties could extend if they wanted to. I noticed that in all the stories a few days ago about Evra leaving due to family reasons they mentioned this clause, so it seems it was true. I think he's reliable, the only part of his article which seemed a bit far fetched was the stuff about the players being set to revolt against Moyes, but Ogden is reporting the same thing, and he's definitely reliable.
