These are not unlikely, Kroos has 1 year left on his deal, wants a new contract and Bayern are not giving it to him, so unless they want him to run down the last year and not get some money out of selling him, then he's pretty realistic.

Fabregas has a new coach, if he's not in his plans he could leave, and Barcelona need to rebuild now if they're being transfer banned next year. He could quite easily be shown the door.

Gundogan is injured like Strootman.

Vidal probably won't want to leave Juve.
Absolutely, Fabregas is less than popular amongst Barca fans. Same with Kross. They are available, if they want to move. So is Vidal.

Thats was simple. Silly me.
Yeah that was basically it. You always see little spelling mistakes in names (it annoys me no end by the way, I wonder if I've posted that in the "annoying things"-thread) but yours caught me completely by surprise :)

I've got a long surname and have to double check every time I write it.

I'd be surprised if we went with something that left us that exposed in the middle of the park tbh. Probably same formation but remove Rooney and put another CM next to Strootman.

BREAKING: Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba will join Serie A side Juventus on a one-year deal. [L'Équipe]

Ok yes it's Tancredi but can anyone imagine if we pulled that off? All our midfield woes will be behind us just like that! It would be very optimistic to think we will get both of them but after sitting through that rubbish season our inner muppets should really be rewarded so you never know.

I see no-one is posting the other Palmeri tweet where he said Shaw was still possibly, but not a priority anymore.

Shaw hasn't been in the news / press for a couple of days - to Tancredi that means he's now "not a priority".

Kroos & Fabregas have been linked all over the press to us the last two days - Tancredi deduces they are our top priorities before the World Cup.

He basically just picks up the rags like every average joe, see's who we are linked to and acts like he has some sort of insider knowledge.

Tancredi has got one hell of a head on him hasn't he? Shame it appears to be empty.

WancTanc is typical of all clueless #ITK twitter bullshitters. Clearly he's seen the story about van Gaal asking Evra to stay and somehow twisted that into inside information that Shaw is no longer a priority.

If Van Gaal wants to play three in midfield it would. Those two beside a good defensive player would be fantastic.

Given that we need to accommodate Rooney and Mata I can't see us playing a midfield 3 or buying 3 CM's in one summer.

We don't need to do anything unless the new manager wants to. I'm not suggesting it will definitely happen but the possibility of a three man midfield cannot be discounted. If that's the way he wants to go those two would be perfect.

I don't see LvG coming in and shunting Rooney and Mata both out to the wings personally, I expect one will play off the 2 CM's.

Re that Line-up tweet:

Can't help but think the Strootman ship sailed, the figures being quoted are double that from one year ago, plus isn't he out and will be recovering from a serious injury?

Not sure I would be too excited personally.
