Why are we so desperate for Rojo? We don't need another full back. We need to be putting all of our resources in the midfield. How have we not invested in a world class midfielder yet? We need to get Vidal at all costs, even if it means over spending by 10-20 million.

I also don't understand the Di Maria interest. I thought Van Gaal was really into the 3-4-1-2 formation? How is Di Maria going to fit into that and if LvG reverts back to 4-3-3 then how can we accomodate Rooney, RvP and Mata? Van Persie is our best CF, Rooney is a poor CAM but he's our captain so he must play. Really fecked up situation we're in right now.

We're desperate for anyone. We need this signing, and I feel it'll prove to be a good one.

Good thing that Rojo is a central defender then :)

He's a centre back

Parrish will go with Sherwood as I reckon he'll shit himself about the idea of being isolated by Mackay & Moody. And, quite clearly, it won't work, as Sherwood will do badly then come out with some outlandish, wacky statements about how the club is entirely at fault and then end up being sacked, to be replaced by Allardyce, having been sacked by West Ham.

He's a center back who can play at left back or wing back... Pretty much exactly the type of player we need given how we only have Shaw for left back and no other center backs.

Benatia better be on a plane to OT along with Rojo, the latter alone is not enough to fix our defence. We need a top quality centre back, so hopefully we splash the cash on Benatia as well.

SO we are wasting time buying an average player, INSTEAD of buying someone that United actually need like Vidal and Di Maria, because both Woodward and the Glazers are too cheap to actually boost the squad!

Makes me so angry!!!

I bet you haven't even seen him play prior to the world cup and you're calling him average. So pathetic.

Grow up.

Dude is getting a lot of shit for these tweets, could be making it up....

Lots of others saying the same thing too though, including the one above.

Rojo is a good signing. It's a start.

I still don't know why we're not going all out for Vidal. Really doesn't seem like we're interested.

Others tweeting the Argentine interview too.

"Due to fly to Manchester tomorrow" is the rumour, could be official tomorrow I reckon (my own view).

in terms of actual value of the player and what he would bring, rojo for 16m if the nani part is bollocks is our best bit of business in the window.

Keep an eye on Craig Norwood tomorrow, could be some news from him if the rumour is true that he's flying in tomorrow.

So, a physical, left footed Argentinian left back who prefers to play at centre back, eh?

I didn't realise our defence was so well stocked. I mean, we must be overflowing with experienced defenders who aren't injury prone...

It's about time that Ed Glazer got off his arse and told the fans what's going on! I mean, other club's main men are always good for an update:

MORATTI: "Ronaldo? We'll see."

ALLEGRI: "Gervinho? Ask after the transfer window closes."

ANCELOTTI: "Duck-billed platypus? No problem."

Etc.

I wonder if we failed to land Kroos and cesc due to woody being inept as well?
Supposedly van Gaal/United didn't want him. Jose wanted him. Plus, don't underestimate the role his girlfriend might have played in him moving to London and not to a club from the north west.
