Hernandez is getting his chance, time to put up or shut up about not being a starter.
Agreed. He missed most of the pre-season, so I don't think he will start. Next match is more realistic.
To be fair there's a 50/50 chance that'll be right, only maybe Rafael and Hernandez have any chance of being wrong, the rest are pretty much nailed on.
Yup, Raf starting would be odd after all the noise LVG made about player fitness, but who else would you play?

If he doesn't play well in this one game we should just burn him at the stake.
That's not what he's saying but this is a prime chance to show what he can do.
It's no secret that he's not gotten enough time but given who he's behind we know why that is the case.
He's gotten the odd chance here and there but has hardly convinced us he should be further up the pecking order.

Don't think City or Liverpool invested as much time as we have into it. Its not a formation you can switch to in the middle of the season and expect the players to be ready to implement it.
No. We played well with it for a while and then after a defeat Rodgers changed it around.

Andy Mitten made a good point, he said he expects us to start really well then Chelsea will beat us and expose the weakness, other teams pick up on it and force us to change to four at the back, either that or we do so well that other teams start taking note and play 3 at the back, personally don't see that happening.
Well the difference is we've actually been preparing to use it and have Van Gaal who knows how to get the most out of it. You can't just start using a new formation out of nowhere and expect results.
I do think we'll switch to the 4-3-3 eventually, but that's just because I think eventually Januzaj will force himself into the team and we'll sign a winger for the other wing.

Anyway, trying to keep the thread on topic, with the 3-5-2 we do still need to sign at least 2 players I believe. I don't think we can afford to put too much emphasis on Quality Vs Quantity either. I think we need to add some variety in numbers.

I agree. We need a CM (Vidal) and a CB (Rojo) at least. That would do for the summer but I would expect further departures and arrivals the following summer.
I used to follow this account and it was pretty legit. They definitely didn't just make shit up out of nowhere, it might just be a rumour from a paper or something though. I had to unfollow though as the account is run by Evertonians and I couldn't stand all the tweets about Moyes last year.

What is the point in loaning him out again? Honestly, how many of their players are loaned out now?
If they can't find a buyer and have no plans to use him then it's better that another club pays his wages and possibly a loan fee, while giving him a better chance to develop as a player.
No, they are just taking the piss out of him. They used to do it all the time when I followed them. I'm not saying that Vidal news is true, but they never made stuff up before.
We absolutely without fail need a top class CM and a Very good centre back this summer. bare minimum.
