The Times are reporting a £12million fee. Even though that's probably excluding a decent amount of add-ons, that's a fantastic price. Considering Chelsea knocked us back at £8million for Bertrand, to get a younger, better full-back who suits our style off play for probably about an initial £2million more than it would have taken for Bertrand is great business.

12m is a fecking steal. Excellent business if true.

Kelly off to QPR as well. Lot of changes at Liverpool this Summer.

I remember at the beginning of the transfer period that people were thinking he would cost up to €30m, so it is a good price. He is not all that great and defensively is a bit suspect but he is young so 12m is a fair price.

It would be more close to 20 million Euros. That's why it took so much time with Sevilla playing hard.

Edit - Spanish media reporting 18 to 22 million euros.

I never get why these journos reply to random tweeters asking about news rather than, if they have news, posting it on twitter by themselves
They tend to get a lot of shit when things don't go how they call it.

So for most of the reputable ones, which Taylor is, it's better so say nothing unless they're sure/been briefed.

So why do they reply to ordinary tweeters asking for updates?!

No idea, but telling someone something on a personal level isn't really the same as publishing it to all of your followers. He hasn't even said much in that tweet, he's just speculating.

What channel is he supposed to have said this on? Sky Ireland isn't a channel.

Didn't someone say the Vidal deal would be done tomorrow?

Can't remember who, think it was a nobody/unreliable/probable WUM.

Mary Kennedy rarely gets it wrong. She called the Pat Kenny thing before anyone else had a sniff. Tom Dunne to Newstalk too. NOW I'm excited.
