I have a feeling he spouted something about Ronaldo last year. Surely if Cuadrado's reps were in Manchester someone else would have picked up on it? Has it been mentioned on TalkSport today?
Talksport said something about Cuadrado looking likelier on the basis of Marin but nothing else in the last hour or so. They're full of shit though.

I am checking after 3 or so hours, thread has moved many pages, lots of posting but I don't see anything concrete or different(Except Mangala thing which is not related to us). What is going on?

So from both United and Barcelona being interested in Cuadrado, to now none of them being interested after the player asked Fiorentina permission to leave, great!

These apparent new quotes make no sense at all. He says two weeks isn't good enough to evaluate the players and he wants to see what the squad can do, yet he said just before coming back to England that he's had time to look at the squad and he's ready to tell the players who has a future and who doesn't. It makes no sense what so ever.

He does say though:

“I know more now than I did when I first came to the club, but we could not train properly on tour.

“I cannot judge that because the squad I have inherited has not yet learned how to perform my philosophy.”

The fact that he says "We could not train properly on tour" says to me that they are new quotes, but why would he say he's ready to tell the players who has a future and who doesn't, then backtrack and say i've not had time to properly analyse the squad? Seems to me like reporters have mixed old and new quotes together to make their own story. Plus as has rightly been said, why would we do any business in the January transfer window? Do they really think any top players are going to want to leave their clubs in January when they could potentially be in a good title race? Have we EVER done a lot of business in January? Plus why throw lots of new players into the club mid-season, it wouldn't be worth it.

Just been listening to one of the Marca transfer gossip reporters being asked if United are in for Di Maria. His helpful reply (rough translation):
"People keep saying they are in for lots of players. Everyone knows they have money and they need to buy - so they get linked to players, all the players. No one knows who they are buying."
Wow, this was actually news to you, right?

Maybe LvG thinks the current squard is enough otherwise it will be suicide not to.

I don't see how he could possibly think that, Keane is about to go on loan, that leaves us 1 CB for cover in our new 3 CB system. As for midfield, well I just can't see how anyone could think we have enough there when one injury will see Cleverley starting games.

And they don't have a clue either.
Looks like any sources they had within the club have dried up, so i bet they're relying on the clubs Press Office for information. Of course the official stance from within the club is deny everything. They're hardly going to tell everyone who we're after and who we're not. We learnt that lesson last summer. Simple fact is, no one knows anything now, besides people in the club who are dealing with transfers

That's true. From last year's shambles I'm sure we've implemented some stern policies about discussing our targets.

It's on!!

He's an Everton fan with 127 followers. Why would he know anything?

Looking at his timeline and photos posted he actually attended the game and that is how he saw Vidal and the others. How did he understand from the stands that Vidal refused to do drills with the team is another matter.

Ah that time of the transfer window when you realize we have been told a load of bullshit propaganda from the club yet again and we aren't actually going to buy anyone of any note.
We fall for it ever year but we always come back like a bunch of lemmings.
One day we will learn.

They know feck all.

I suspect so also, its just tedious when the likes of Jackson keep spouting that we are not interested in this that or the other player. When he probably got that info from a receptionist at the club.
