Those "usual suspects" have already reported that all those players are for sale, I don't see what's new here, besides Rafael.

What's new is he's reporting definitive meetings yesterday. If there's truth then the others will follow regardless of what speculation they've printed previously

We're not selling Rafael. Why did everyone in this thread suddenly decide to take that crap article as gospel? Mental.

People are trained like monkeys to believe the press. Especially on serious none-sport issues usually covered on the front covers.

First four are fecking obvious, Rafael is click bait.

I don't know, he still seems petulant and injury prone at times, I was his biggest fan but he hasn't matured like everyone hoped so it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't Van Gaal's cup of tea, wasn't LvG the Bayern manager when he picked up that red in the champions league? Couldn't have been a good first impression.

Would they really think like that though?

Rooney or Van Persie or someone similar would be click bait because they'd attract United fans but also others.

Noone outside of United fans thinks Rafael is anything other than shite so would he really be that popular a story?

I think they would. They know most United fans love Rafael

The rest of his performance over the two legs would have been an excellent first impression.

I very much doubt that game 4 years ago will be any reason why LVG wouldn't want Rafa

Yeah but whenever we're linked with players, the same people dismiss it instantly as rumour and gossip. I don't understand why this passes their legitimacy tests when it's as likely to be bollocks as everything else.

I've just realised, Fabio, Rio, Vidic and Evra have all been sold/let go within 6 months. They were the back 4 of the 2011 final. I wonder if a full back 4 of a major final has ever been sold in such a quick timeframe before?

The report itself is nothing new, we already knew most of those players are for sale, besides Rafael. I doubt their agents will give Mokbel such story, they wouldn't give to a London based journalists. Mokbel was wrong about another story earlier in the summer about a United transfer, I'm calling BS on this.

Story could have come from anyone or anywhere.
That may seem obvious but it's pretty pointless trying to second guess or assume where it would come from.

I still find it odd that we gave Valencia a new contract especially if we get Cuadrado. These guys are basically them same in that they can't play RB, they can do a job at RWB and they're at their best at right wing/midfield. I'm assuming Cuadrado can play on the left too but apart from that these two have the same roles so not sure there's much point in having them both around.

Only way Rafael will be sold is if Cuadrado is a dead cert. There's no way we would sell Rafael and have only Valencia as our main option on that right side.

Even that would be nonsensical; Van Gaal would no longer have the option of switching to a back 4, as we'd have no recognised right-back.

Milan's CL winners from 2007?

Well aren't Barcelona pursuing Cuadrado as a right-back?

I have no idea, it would be a great shame if they were as he'll be wasted there, although Real Madrid's Marcelo can't defend to save his life, so it seems different rules apply for La Liga's big 2.

What happened to the MEN it's like the worst source ever these days.
Tweets and links from any MEN 'journalists' should be banned. They just live off the fact that they are based in Manchester, so the innocent assume they must have inside knowledge. They know nothing about United.

Zaha is being linked pretty heavily with Newcastle. I'd send him on loan again and see how he does as I still think he can turn into a good player.
