Surprised there hasn't been more noise on departures considering this is meant to be "judgement day"

Personally I think it's already well known who can go. Every single one of those considered the more reliable United newspaper journalists broke the story on Monday of last week.

True, I just meant some more news on departures, like where who might be going, any bids etc.

Seems a very vague "will listen to offers" for Kagawa and the Fellaini tweet above are the only 2 mentions so far today (unless I missed some).

Journos think (at United in Press) we have dodged a bullet by not signing Vermaelen... especially Ogden, who questioned his Arsenal mentality

Did they say anything else that was interesting?

Glad I had nothing in my mouth when I read this:

If there was any further evidence needed, that many footballers never watch football - then this should do the trick..

All that lad had to do was google: "Are West Ham United a good team?"

"Yes. West Ham United were are a brilliant team.."

Ridiculous money for TV really. Shows how desperate Barca are for a warm body to shove at CB.

Barcelona signings this summer have been horrible, what is happening.

Expecting RM to dominate this year.

Why? Rakitic is good and Suarez is quality.

They just bought the best player in the world not named Ronaldo or Messi. If anything Madrid have been a bit lacklustre with James, who at this point is unproven hype.

Well they did also sign Toni Kroos...

To be fair, only Vermaelen looks dodgy. Mathieu may be old and expensive, but he is a good player. Bravo is their new backup keeper and ter Stegen is promising. Rakitic is quite a player too. Suarez is one of the best players in the world. What's horrible about that? It's been their best transfer window in a decade.

As for RM, I'm kind of expecting them to struggle. They've simply got too many stars and obviously can't play them all. It'll be interesting to see how Ancelotti sorts it out.

Barcelona have also sold Sanchez and Fabregas. Fabregas never was accepted there, but Sanchez fits in the 4-3-3 more than Suarez probably will. Remains to be seen though. Will only be when the season starts and all players are available that we'll see how they do.

I'm not too sure that Luis Enrique is fit to do a great job there. Then again, they have Messi, Neymar and Suarez going forward. Which, of course, requires some tactical competence to make the puzzles fit right. The defence might be their downfall this season.

£15M AND add ons, wow!

Whatever the case, they are getting a minimum 15 million. Yet we seem to be practically giving our players away for dirt cheap if transfer stories of Hernandez and Kagawa were to be believed, and based on our history it wouldn't surprise me. Other than the odd sell, why can we never make decent money off decent players?

Reports from North of the Border that Southampton will sign Fraser Forster this weekend after agreeing deal with Celtic.

It's in Euros (19 Million EUR = £15m)

thank goodness for that.

Pleased we didn't get him. Overhyped at the start due to a few goals, despite a good leap, he's still not ideal height for a centre back in such a physical league, and it just doesn't sit right to buy a guy who couldn't get into Arsenal's lineup.
Not to overdo the injury problems.

Being back in the champions league might change things....probably not, but maybe

I read that he'd told Mascherano that he'd be playing as a DM this season, him in alongside Biscuits should protect their defense pretty well and allow Rakatic and the front 3 to do what they do.
