Will be interesting to see if they still go after Falcao/other proven forward or keep Rodriguez as false 9 option when Benzema is not available.

Doubt story is true, but if it is what's the problem? LvG will have sanctioned the move, he will have chosen the player because he thinks he's what we need, and also think it's fair value, that's good enough for me.

£25 million is a bit short for me, reckon £30 million would be nearer the mark, £13 m Hernandez, £17 m Kagawa, surely worth that, if Chelsea were selling them they'd be getting double!

Diego Costa went for 28 m, release close or not! Costa is better in every aspect, was a starter for them and was even played when not fit. Whereas Chicarito is our 4th choice. No way are they worth a similar fee.
You can't compare transfers these days though. Carroll went for 35m, Torres 50m, both were toilet.
Some chump went to Fulham with no pedigree for £11m. Hernandez is miles better than him.
De Jong and Vermaelan..wow that is underwhelming to say the least.
