The guy is an admin at a Juventus forum, most probably having a laugh.

Seems like it's rather genuine (the quotes at least) he's talking about how unverified rumors are 'utter bullshit', and that he's looking forward to september 2nd when all the talking stops.

What the Chile national coach let slip about Vidal, £45m, and Manchester United. From @thcoast http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/chile-boss-says-arturo-vidal-to-manchester-united-is-done-for-45m…

It's seems very strange that Sampiola would let the cat out of the bag to such a degree. He even went as far to quote a price.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vidal or his agent asked him to make the comments to try and help things along.Or maybe he's just a strange kijd of guy.

He must have an agenda. No one is that naive!

I'm not even sure this really helps things along though

Still, he could get a decent wage at another club while also playing on a regular basis. Actually it wouldn't surprise me if he could get just as high of a wage at another club while being the number one keeper at the club.

Just seems a strange move to me unless he really fancies lapping it up.

Milan and Napoli (the other teams who were interested) apparently walked away from a deal due to his wage demands.

As soon as you see a tweet that starts with 'according to Sky Italia' the best advice I can give you is to stop reading.
Sport Witness gave me much the same answer:

We do a lot of preparing bids and 'thinking about bidding' don't we.

It's classic ITK talk isn't it.

If they say anything firmer, they'll be shown to be BS merchants. Whereas this way they can always claim we decided against it.

Considering Juve are apparently balking at our 11m (euro/£??) demand for Hernandez then we should probably just take this deal Atletico are offering.

£35m and we have a deal IMO. We don't really need both, Wilson and Januzaj give us enough cover. I had very high hopes when Shinji arrived, but he has never - due to various reasons and circumstances - shown his BVB form. Hernandez, well, I love him, but he needs to play and we would be fourth choice here.. take around £20m and run. He would thrive in La Liga.

10m and Turan and it's a deal.

How dare anyone suggest £11m is too much for Hernandez! Some no name nobody went to Fulham for £11m recently, with absolutely no pedigree!

If we don't get that sort of bids then they hardly are. Although the quoted price seems low (which by the way is unsubstantiated and probably pure guesswork), we'll hardly see them go for much more than around 15m pounds each.

Then whe should just keep them. I doubt Kagawa really wants to leave. Chicharito may be a different case.
