How long before there's a "Ronaldo poses with a fan" tag for those photos.

I can see the tabloid headlines now.

Ronaldo meets up with United players - "He wants to come back"
Ronaldo doesn't follow United on twitter - "United is the past"

Deck him, Wayne! Remember when he got you sent off that one time in Germany? Never forget...

The Jake Cohen tweet is either extremely stupid, just doesn't make sense, or is taken out of context.

David Luiz to PSG for 50m.
Cavani to Chelsea for 40m.

Where does the 25m+ FFP profit come from?
Where does the 10m+ profit come from?

I can maybe see where Chelsea are in the "black", they've sold other players to make money recently (Mata, De Bruyne, etc.).
But PSG? They've paid 50m for Luiz, and if they sell Cavani for 40m to Chelsea, that is -10m no matter how you look at it. Another +10m for Chelsea.

Did this guy leave massive holes in his tweet, or what? Can't see where the guy is coming from.

I'd imagine it is all to do with the amortisation of the transfers clubs do now. That I don't understand fully myself.

If available, he's the perfect right wing back for our system and I'd hate for him to go to Liverpool for a very attainable price.

Meh,
2/3 years ago he'd be the perfect wing back.
Think his ambition and a lot of the pace and energy that made him so good have gone since.

Tbh i kind of hope liverpool do get him because i expect him to be a shadow of the old player, who doesn't particularly give a rats ass anymore.

Plus for Liverpool he'd have far more defensive responsibility than he had at Barca which takes away some of what he does best.

Yeah i suspect even the alves of 2/3 years ago would struggle for them.
He was never much of a defender really.

It is indeed.

Selling Cavani won't make up for PSG's ridiculous spending, and signing Cavani would go a long way to ruining Chelsea's squad balance and wages+amortisation in the longer run, especially considering they've just signed Drogba and Costa and don't another striker, let alone a striker who would command one of the biggest transfer fees and highest wages around.

Same goes for saying the David Luiz deal was great business, it is until you remember that in the midst of buying and selling David Luiz they managed to give away Matic for nothing and then sign him back for £23m.

In a 4 man defense, he'd be exposed more but playing with a 3 men defense, he has better awareness and instincts than someone like Valencia and his attacking play is still pretty great. He will have to curb some of his forward runs but I believe splitting games with Rafael and mentoring him, he'd be solid.

Juventus are talking to Atalanta with regards to 20 year old midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, in addition to both Baselli & Zappacosta. #GdS

Barcelona will only try to sign Arsenal player Vermaelen when there's no chance left to buy PSG's Marquinhos. Player has been informed. [md]

It'd be a pretty cruel joke, seeing as many fans are looking forward to new signings lol

Then again, it could have been, but who knows. I'm sure the players do know something about who's leaving and joining the club though
I think he's been told to say it considering what Woodward has said about monitoring social media! To give the fans a lift considering what people were saying about Van Gaals comments about maybe we don't need new signings!

There should be no mid season money spinning friendlies at all during the season.

I don't see it as being too disruptive if done at the right time. We nearly always have a mid season break somewhere warm in jan/feb over 7/8 days if we go out one of the cups or when fixtures get rerarranged. Why not jet off to dubai (like last year, and the year before) and play a couple of friendlies against middle eastern opposition and make £5m+ in the process?

Need to recoup part of the cash somehow!

I hope Paddy Crerard sets up a twitter account. It is only a matter of time before he will let slip some inside info on transfers

Holy crap, how are they not embarrassed to post something like this?

I've listened to that Paddy vine three times now and I still can't figure out what he's saying due to his accent(obviously the description of the vine helps).
