Why did it take some random bloke on twitter to directly ask him, for him to mention our interest in Vidal?! Surely that should be breaking news on the yellow ticker or something

Because it's his own opinions or sources, his tweets have nothing to do with Skysports.

He's another player who needs to move on this summer for the sake of his own career.

Best talent in the academy, dominated the under 18's and reserves. I remember his outside of the boot pass on a rolling ball, scholes would be proud of that. He should have been much more than just a reserve player. This shows how valuable luck is in such cases. I still wish somehow LVG could get that talent out of him, but his mobility is gone i guess. His passing and shooting were always his strengths. On basis of raw talent i would put him ahead of pogba and morisson. It will be so sad to see him leave.

I thought Fwank had gone to America?
It would be a loan according to these reports. So they would have bought him to loan him straight back out to their 'sister' club, if that's the right term.

It seems that way. Might need to be a 'loophole' UEFA have a look at.

I'm a bit disconcerted with this news.. They could just hoard players at NYC and loan them out thus bypassing their transfer fee.. :(

Possibly. They'll surely shut that off as an option for the future having seen this example. You'd hope so anyway otherwise it again defeats the whole point of FFP.

Don't think they can do that with NYC with too many players due to MLS salary cap rules, they could do it with Melbourne City though I'd have thought

Sorry mate, but no chance Petrucci was better than those 2.

Davide was a great talent & we all had high hopes for him, but his injuries have seriously stunted his progress & the injury is most likely in his head now. Thats a battle in itself, but i dont want him to leave either - just in case.

Same thing happened to Fletch & it took him years to get back to the level he showed before he got injured. If i recall, he missed nearly 2 years & struggled to get it all back, but he did after many years of trying & because Fergie stuck by him.

I have a feeling that if Fletch wasnt Scottish - Fergie would have moved him on. I gather, Fergie not only had high hopes for him at United, but for the Scottish national side, but you cant deny what a great person Fletch is & what a warrior he is on & off the pitch.

He's a battler & he's looked good on the tour also, so please God he remains healthy because we need die-hard red blood flowing through the squad & that massive level of professionalism too..

Hmm they could put them as one of the three permissible designated players without taking a major hit on the cap and then loan them to City. They could even farm out some players like Villa during the off-season like Donovan to Everton.

Wonder if Vieira will be speaking out about City being "desperate" for bringing Lampard back, like when he did over Scholes a couple of years back.
