The reason Fletcher is on the list is that he looks well past it, unfortunately his condition seems to have effected his play, with LVG looking to thin the squad I could see him selling Fletcher and keeping Anderson. Why? Anderson has the potential there, he just doesnt seem to be able to apply it. I think LVG loves those kinds of challenges. We could well see Anderson shine yet.

I think Kagawa is almost definitely one of the players who showed great potential but never showed through with it. He is a hugely valuable asset but I can honestly see him being used in a deal for Hummels.

Hernandez would be silly to stay if Cavani comes, hes simply not as good and would find less and less game time which is hardly there anyway.

Evans is actually a very versatile defender and I could see him playing Left back when Shaw needs a rest.

Also does everyone think we will be playing Shaw as the No.1 left back? Im not so sure.

The list includes Vidal, Reus, and Hummels. Triple muppetgasm material, so this is a pointless question.

Why is this in the twitter thread again? Why is it anywhere?

Agreed. Modmins have already slapped you lot for discussing offtopic posts in here. Make a thread if you want to discussion your Fifa muppetry.

Him and jamie jackson are such big hairy, smelly cnuts.

The moment James said "its my dream to play for Madrid" there was only ever one outcome. We were probbaly bidding but as soon as he said that it was time to pack up and give up.

 He does have a point though! But Rodriguez club form is not worth £70m. That's a classic example of a players valuation being inflated insanely by a very good World Cup.

What kind of point does he have ? Why bid for James Rodriguez when you have Mata ?

Does he have a point? Were we ever in for him? We already have Rooney/Mata/Kagawa/Januzaj in that #10 role.. we aren't like Madrid who just buy the flavors of the month.

I just want to guage the reaction here.

How would people feel if this happened?

Why post this here? Its taking the discussion away from what its supposed to be. Well done.

He played on RW/LW for Porto. He's a player that can play in any position upfront. He's more of a Nani than a Mata.

No.

He is more of a Mata than a Nani. At best he can play as a false winger in a front 3 but even there he has to cut in to be effective.

No point arguing about this. There are no top bracket wingers these days who play better on the wing than through the middle. Every top class winger these days comes with the argument that he is better at playing through the middle.
Having said that, I should clarify that I don't mean or believe that any player who plays as a no.10 or false 9 through the middle can also play as a winger.

I have seen him play all season with Monaco, in the wing he is half the player that he is in the hole. Ranieri changed the system mostly for that reason and he wasn't very good with Porto when played in the wing.

He barely played on the Wing at Monaco. When he did he was effective, not so much of a goal threat, but certainly providing assists. If you want your widemen to be a goal threat though then they need to cut inside. Nani's best when he cuts inside and provides that goal threat, most wingers are. Disagree with your assessment of his Porto form btw. But if you want to debate it further, take it to the appropriate thread. Not the Twitter thread.

He did in his first games because he came late and the team was already performing, his presence was a prejudice on the wing, so Ranieri decided to change the dispositif in order to get the best out of Rodriguez, which worked.
Rodriguez plays a lot like a second striker, he is not yet a proper playmaker but he is an excellent passer and kicker of the ball, that's what he is good at.

That isn't true considering he was great at Porto and played wide right 99% of the time.

I made a mistake he is a good winger but what i meant is that he is miles better in the hole. He is great in the hole and good on the wing.

Can´t agree with that at all. Rodriguez wasn´t great at Porto. He was good at best. Hulk was great, Falcão was great, Moutinho was great...Rodriguez was two tiers bellow them. Cmon he was benched in the Europa League final for Varela.

Yeah maybe great was overstating it but his talent was evident and was by no means poor, didn't expect him to do well at Monaco though, thought he'd struggle there. Definitely couldn't have seen him going on to Madrid this soon.

That i agree with. He is obviously a talented player and the spells he spent on the bench because of his inconsistency were understandable since he was inexperienced and playing his first campaign in Europe. I didn´t imply he was poor, he had a positive season at Porto but wasn´t one of the major figures at that Porto team. Nothing to be a ashamed of, since that Porto team was very good. Anyways, end of the off topic in the twitter thread.

I'd be more than happy with that, except the Cavani part.
