Lahm retires at 30!![]()
Interesting
What did Giggs say about British players? You know Giggs is a legend and arguably my favorite all time Utd player BUT things like this and things he said last season about British players and the British blood and guts football, wing play etc, it makes me hope that Giggs doesn't ever get the managers job, in fact i kind of wish all the 'class of 92' moved on.
Don't hate me, i just think they are too entrenched with SAF's methods and style but only SAF can make that work in todays age imo.

I think with certain united legends we're seeing some of disadvantages of staying at the same club under one manager for their whole career. They think United's way of being successful is the only way of being successful. 4-4-2, lots of crosses, managerial stability etc.Manchester City FC midfielder Yaya Toure has turned down a move to Manchester United, Mario Balotelli - Official has dropped a huge hint that he wants to join Arsenal
All apart from scholes because he still knows the game and is more "Modern", Giggs shouldnt ever Manchester United to be honest unless he wins shed loads like SAF/LVG at another club.

Ok thanks. Well maybe Giggs horizons might be broadened by a successful coach who believes in 4-3-3 intricate, possession based attack minded football.I can't exactly remember exactly but he said something about wanting wing play and tons of crosses and he said something about British players and their 'blood and guts' style.
I just remember people on here saying things like "er do we really want Giggs as long term manager if that what he thinks" etc at the time.
I'd keep Zaha but i think its almost certain he will go out on loan, maybe even sold but i hope not, it would be such a waste. The more I think about it, the less likely I see it that Van Gaal signs a wide player. I imagine one or both of Young/Nani will go but we have Januzaj, Zaha, Lawrence and Lingard who could make the step up, Valencia's new deal and the potential of Welbeck, Kagawa and/or Mata having a more permanent wide role.
I'm not convinced by Zaha, but there's definitely a spark there that a top class manager could make use of. The Cardiff loan was a disaster so perhaps the odd cameo for United would be better for his confidence. I'm a massive fan of both Lawrence and Lingard, but either or both could go out on loan to properly test them. It's got to the stage though where there are so many potential options that several will have to leave if we brought someone in.I'd keep Zaha but i think its almost certain he will go out on loan, maybe even sold but i hope not, it would be such a waste.
Evra wanted to wait for Allegri to be appointed, Evra was pretty much a Conte target.
West Ham seem to be bidding for all sorts of players from all over the World this summer.
More likely he got the brush off elsewhere. He must have gotten his new contract then.
And everyone wished him a belated happy birthday. He must have gotten his new contract then.
I wonder how City fans will act towards him after all those claims about the club and his brother etc

They will act like nothing has happened.
Exactly.As per Tevez.

They'll still love him.
