TURIN - Conte has resigned! Sensational decision of the coach of Juventus, who in today's day has resigned. At the base of the breakup in the first place there is the market so far conducted by leaders Juventus, judged by the coach not in line with his demands, after the already large differences emerged in May when Juventus had contacted Mihajlovic as a possible substitute for technical Salento. follow news updates

We should storm in for Pogba as well. Offer them a bunch of shite out of Del Boy's garage like Fellaini, Young, Cleverly etc. Kick them while they are managerless and looking for a few quid and some players to make up the numbers.

Gazzetta dello Sport report on Tuesday evening that Antonio Conte has left Juventus. Conte had three very successful years in charge of the Turin club but there were always reports of discontent over what he thought was the club's wrong approach to the transfer market.

The newspaper says that Conte is angry the club have failed to sign either Juan Cuadrado or Alexis Sanchez and he's not altogether happy with what he'll consider the cheap potential recruitment of Patrice Evra from Manchester United.

Conte is fiercely ambitious and wanted Juventus to be a real European force as well as the best team in Italy. However, finances at the Italian club are not great and haven't improved over the past year. Juventus have done excellently in the transfer market with financial restrictions and provided Conte with an excellent team at a relatively low cost.

Much more pressing than that, at least immediately, is that Gazzetta dello Sport claim Manchester United have raised their offer for Arturo Vidal and agreed terms with Juventus for the transfer.

Roberto Mancini and Massimiliano Allegri are the immediate favourites for the job.

Imagine if they lose Conte and Vidal and get Moyes in return.
Oh jesus the hilarity.

Whenever there is a whip of good news it is then immediately followed by "deal is off" or x player has joined Bayern, Madrid blah blah so I'very decided to keep calm now.

The news is fresh. Easy to assume, however, that recent developments in leading the campaign purchases are not liked to Conte. The two players at the top of the list were Cuadrado and Sanchez. That did not come. Evra was an element on which the coach of Lecce expressed doubts. The straw that broke the camel may have done could be Arturo Vidal. The company had promised that Conte would not have been sold, but Manchester United, fresh from a millionaire agreement with Adidas, in the last hours has raised the offer, finding agreement with Juventus.

tHIS FROM GDS website, nowhere it says according to english reports.
By the way english reports say the deal is off!

Tuttosport chat absolute shit btw. This Juve mouthpiece stuff is wrong.

Twitter doesn't seem to be exactly awash with credible people calling the Vidal deal imminent or closer due to Conte's departure. Just people called things like @ManUntd_TransferLG

This will stall any negotiations with Vidal. The new manager will want to assess things first and we will have another Barca-Fabregas situation on our hands.
The board make the final decisions. Conte may well have resigned due to the decision to sell Vidal, no new manager is going to have the power to make them change their mind.

Yup. Just like Shaw.

What I meant to say is make the effort to make him stay specially if its transfer related.
They offered him 5 million euros. They could not sign sanchez, who was his top target. they could not guarante vidal and pogba stay so he left.

Sounds like a done deal to me. Board tells him we've raised the bid and they've accepted, they promised him months ago not to sell a key player without his consent, so he resigns. May be overly optimistic, but I think we got this in the bag.

Antonio Conte is no longer Juventus’ coach: it’s official. Juventus posted a video where Conte communicated it: “I decided to terminate the contract with Juventus. When did I decide? Some decisions and sensations brought me to this choice. Forced to win? It can ben more difficult here at Juventus, who is a winner knows the struggle and the consequences. National team? I think about the present, about the decision. What do I say to the fans? A huge thanks for what they showed in these years as coach and player. They’ve been always close to me. The path we have made in these years is historical, nobody can take it away from us. I want to thank all my players that allowed me to win and helped me grow. I thank the club that was always close to me, I thank Andrea Agnelli that supported me, I thank the staff and all my collaborators that worked to make this Juventus win. What will I do? I’ll think about that starting from tomorrow…”

Conte was already very unhappy at Juve, but after setting certain transfer targets, he said he would stay. It could just be that he is unhappy that Arsenal got Sanchez and that they went with Evra for the cheap LB solution. It could make the Vidal transfer easier, but I doubt that Vidal was the reason he resigned.
