Err...

The way you talk it's as if United winning trophies is ancient history...

We just won the league the season before last...

Couple of additions now and we'll be right back on top...

Also by your logic if Stoke gets a shiny new owner that spends half a billion, players should join them instead of traditionally bigger clubs like United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool ?

No but they do regularly. You've included Chelsea but we would have said the same about them a decade ago. Talking about big clubs is a bit boring, prestige may mean something to some players but the sad reality is City are building a history now and they have the money, the squad and the Champions League football that makes them hugely attractive. If we're willing to throw massive money at quality players then we have a really good chance of getting them but we're one of several teams in the market now rather than the dominant English club in the transfer market like we were at the turn of the century.

Whats taking so long with Vidal?, its not the 1960's anymore, the people involved don't need to be in the same room to sort out a deal.
The worst thing about the wait is that you just know there is a good chance we won't get him and all this muppetry will of been for nothing.

He is on holiday

No, not at all. Just stating that as far as I'm concerned I'd much rather have a team challenging for trophies right now than have a nice honours list to look at on Wikipedia.

I really don't get this statement. What's the point of trying to create history if as you say, it's only for those to look at on Wikipedia...

Yes, if those teams you mentioned are no longer challenging for trophies and unlikely to do so in the near future.

Are United unlikely to do so in the near future ?

Yep. Woodward has sat down at his desk, sharpened his pencil and pulled his trousers down. All he has to do now is contact Juventus and see if they want to sell.

Oh, and he also has to ask Vidal if he wants to join. But apart from all that we're 99.999% of the way there to closing the deal.

Well, at the moment, nobody is challenging for trophies because there's no football and nobody knows how Liverpool will cope without Suarez - logic dictates they'll be much worse. Nobody knows how we'll do under LvG - logic dictates we'll be much better.

So i'll take the honours list and my chances thanks

Probably as believable as father Christmas, but I'd take Vidal and lose Di Maria and be delighted.
With a top midfield, our wingers would perform better I'm certain.

Whereas with top wingers I'm not sure our centre mid would.

Right, we need Vidal Tweets now. My inner muppet is hungry and needs feeding.

So it's on

So what is 75% done?
Our paper with the prepared bid is only 75 % through the fax machine which could still not be fully repaired since Moyes broke it in the summer of 2013 by putting a double bid for the Everton duo.
