What's he saying, in summary, of course?
He's responding to Daily Mirror claim that Vidal is deemed too expensive by Inited

He said that 3 months back Woodward briefed the shareholders that United would spend big compared to previous season. He also mentioned that Woodward was very keen on spending big and alluded to Woodward having the hots for Cavani and was ready to blow £50m on him. Also mentioned that none of the Journo's are getting briefed by United now and nobody has a clue to who we may sign.

You got it wrong.

De Brun was using the point that Woodward was prepared to pay £50m for Cavani a few months ago. Because the Sunday mirror said we think Vidal is too expensive .

tbh, I didn't read the link - any mention of Cavani causes an involuntary 'do not want' reactive post.

Have yet to find a report on La Tercera's website in which Vidal's agent has told them he's close to signing with Man Utd. Just saying..

Cheers, Adnan! All taken with a pinch of salt.

"If you have something clear in the Manchester United must keep our promise is that all the requirements that left them Louis Van Gaal before heading to Holland in the World Cup. After the appointment, the bank will take the Red Devils.

In the distance, while completing her involvement with the Clockwork Orange tulip technician hopes to receive his next club only good news, waiting for one in particular: to have in its ranks Arturo Vidal".

We are nearing a point with Vidal where most of us think it will happen, and of course if it doesn't, the usual suspects will come out with the predictable "its this year's Thiago saga" etc etc.

Hasn't it evolved into "it's this year's Cesc saga" now?

Next week will be one of the most significant weeks in the window for us I feel. World Cup will be over. Manager will finally arrive and we'd want to get a few signings before the tour.

Doesn't leave us a lot of time, van Gaal arrives Wednesday and we depart for pre-season on Friday.

Go to sleep, my fellow Caftards. By the time we wake up, Vidal will be officially a red*.

*May not happen

This is a good idea. Post summaries of interesting things on the blacklist. That way, those sensitive souls who couldn't bear to read a tweet that might not be true will be happy, and the rest of us can keep up with what's happening.

You're welcome. :p

Hopefully Ducker comments on this tomorrow, will feel a lot better if he or Mark Ogden back up the claims I'm the Chilean paper. He is exactly the player we need, would be a massive signing if true.

We've stopped briefing the English press, so don't expect anything.

I can't believe that we're actually trying to buy the exact player we need who's one of if not the best in his position in the world. This will go down as the muppet greatest ever signing.

I don't think Vidal is anywhere is near as bad as the previous ones, mainly because posters are generally guarded that it won't happen, and if it does, its a bonus to the likes of Shaw, Herrera, Mata etc

Yep...we are in Stage 4 on here right now. What's the bet we are all heartbroken over this in the not too distant future?

Have to be honest, of all the midfielders we've been after over the last couple of years, Vidal's the only one that has me emotionally invested to any degree.

One for him being the exact player we need, and another for him coming here being the marquee signing of the summer for the PL, for my money.

Not that I care what others think of us, but within our own fanbase, I feel Vidal will have many of us believe we're once again a force to be reckoned with across the gamut of what it is to be one of the biggest clubs in the world who can compete for the very best players out there.

The obvious residuals would be that other sides we're up against next season will feel United are back and that they mean serious business and also that matching up against us will be a serious challenge.

If we do get Vidal, I would love to see what our odds are for the title.

Although it may be hard in some cases, its never a good idea to get emotionally vested in a player that is not ours.

Not to any intensity, but certainly enough to check his thread daily, and follow the 'saga' to its conclusion.

Haven't cared particularly either way for any player we've been linked with or signed since Rooney.
