El Mercurio mention that a representative from Man United will meet with Beppe Marotta, Juve director, next week to offer him $61m + Nani.

So that's £35m and plus Nani, that's a good deal for Juve.

Holy shit, seeming more likely that there is genuine interest/contact for Vidal. Would be very disappointed if this ends up with 'we were never interested' or a shiny new contract.

If PSG get Di Maria then we should offer them £30mil for Moura, he would destroy Prem defences imo.

Another media outlet in Chile, La Tercera, are also on the Vidal-trail today. They are stating that Louis van Gaal is "obsessed" with Vidal.

La Tercera are writing that Vidal is one of van Gaal's priorities and he has asked United to do everything possible to secure him.

Cause he's badly injured. Same thing with Strootman.

Strootman will be back apparantly around Oct/Nov. With Reus - i havent the foggiest to be honest..

If you buy a broken car on the cheap & fix it up to a top-class condition - its a win win. Logic says, we should be gettin a broken player like Strootman & Reus on the cheap & then fix them up.. ;)

It's genuinely entertaining to see the wild variations on what people on here think Vidal is worth.

I mean, there's £25m difference between some of the valuations placed on him here!

How would they know this?, its pretty funny if you think about it.

Khedira: RM want to renew his contract (1 year left). If he doesn't they will sell him. So far his agent is not in a rush 2 meet club

Not sure how a Chilean newspaper would know what van Gaal wants or has told United what to do.

Good news. Aston Villa reported to be interested in taking Ashley Young back from #ManUtd . They'd pay £7m. Grab it Utd. Great deal!

I loved The Krypton Factor assault course as a kid! If we can get £7M for Young I'd consider that good business all things considered.

Was linked to us once I think?

Inter Milan have completed the signing of Dodo from AS Roma. http://ow.ly/z4TjI

He was, good to see he isn't extinct.

Then good riddance. Rejecting us in favour of PSG (no disrespect intended as they are a great club but in a shite league) will show exactly the type of character he is.

Sorry mate - i have to stop you there..

"Great club" my arse. They're ranked 10th in France as the most successful.

They've only been around since 1970 & they'd only won 2 top-tier league titles before their oil money came to them.

Domestic
European

What they've won in the past is irrelevant, they're the best team in their domestic league, have loads of money & can compete in the CL, they're obviously going to be a big draw for players.

Don't forget that Paris is pretty much as good as you are going to get in terms of a places to live.

Err very much doubt that's real mate.

Sulia is shit like Reddit with quotes plucked out of thin air. Look at the article's author : 8Fact Troll Football

Thought as much!

Thanks for the heads up on that Troll link though. There's a post with a list of Maradona quotes on Pele - they're friggin brilliant.

"The biggest and main difference between Pele and Maradona is I have the respect of all footballers, which Pele does not have. Pele is a friend of those who manage football. I am not friends with them. I am with the players..”

"In 2000 I won the Player of the Century award thanks to the people. Pele was second. He also came second behind Aryton Senna as Brazil's greatest sportsman. The award that Fifa gave Pele isn't worth sh*t.."

Sorry mods for briefly going off topic with those quotes - just thought folk would enjoy them..

feck sake, can we sort this thread out please? There's been nothing of much use for pages and pages now.

Villa would be a class team if you had a game on Pro Evo 2007 with the team they'll have next season.

I cant decide what I think of him, sometimes when I see him I agree with you and then sometimes I see him and think Walcott with a couple of tricks. I think at 25years old and if £15m odd Pastore is a good deal for a lot of top sides. Would have liked him here when he moved to PSG but think he is too similar now to a lot of what we have, but is sure is a crazy window to think of McCormack & Llanana have gone for only £14m odd less in total than Sanchez, Rakatic for example already.

Maradona was an incredibly mercurial player, but lest we forget that this people champion was an admitted cheat, drug addict and has gone on to have a post-career about as inspirational as a David Moyes substitution, whereas, Fifa's boy, Pele, has his reputation intact, won multiple world cups and is respectable enough to have an influence in the game post-career.

Sorry Diego, but no way should you deserve more respect than a man who kept his nose clean (figuratively and literally) from your peers.

They're not a great club is my point - neither is City..

Their success/status is recent & down to new money - not because of their history of greatness..

Cant believe i'm having this conversation to be honest!

In terms of history no obviously they're not, but players don't care about that when they're getting paid millions to win leagues.

OFFICIAL: Chelsea have signed 17-year old Ecuadorian winger Josi Quintero from Barcelona.

Suddenly i'm not so keen on Vidal now. It's a lot of money for someone with a dodgy knee and can't play enough games because of it. United's medical staff have to get this absolutely right

Pastore really isn't good enough.
