Why is it a free pass? Fair enough I didn't expect £50m for Luiz but was always going for over £35m with Barcelona in the hunt for a CB too. Van Ginkel may go on loan to get game time. Ramires is shit and may be used in Pogba exchange. Only leaves us with Fabregas and Matic as guaranteed starters. 433 formation is likely. Mikel maybe off too so we'll need another CM and Pogba is that the No.1 target. Tiago may come in for back up but only have 4 players for 3 positions isn't enough. 5/6 are needed.

Can't see it going up with clubs ready to pounce in January 2016 when he can 'legally' speak to other clubs. His stock won't go any higher. No team will pay over €60m for a player with 12 months left next summer.

Might be morally wrong to stockpile players etc but other clubs only seem to care when Chelsea find loopholes in the system. Selling players for profit after farming them out to other clubs is a business which makes money.
 
Interesting to see who we are going to sign. Starting to think we are after schweinsteiger to partner Herrera, which would explain our lack of action in the transfer market at the moment. Hummels probably the other one
 
There's been absolutely nothing concrete about Pogba to Chelsea. It's all just conjecture from hopeful Chelsea fans on twitter.
 
Vidal was just wishful thinking really. It'll be vermalen and De Jong. War chest well and truly open.

Joking aside, given the strength of their squad compared to ours already, especially in midfield signing Paul Pogba and stopping us from signing Arturo Vidal would be a real kick in the teeth.

15m is a lot of difference in regards to FFP and transfers. Ramires is a lot better than he showed in the last year, Ancelotti still wants him at RM and I think he knows a thing or two about players. Van Ginkel and Tiago are great squad players and Matic, Fabregas are great starters. To me that looks like a very good balanced CM situation. Mourinho hasn't played 433 in ages so why is it likely? 4231 looks alot more likely IMO. If you look at your CB situation, that's alot worse.
 
So Pogba was in front of popular tourist destination, Harrods, in Knightsbridge and therefore people actually think he's going to Chelsea?
 
To be fair I feel that article is just saying that nothing has been touched upon since we last spoke to Juventus (which was days ago) as it was all strictly Evra stuff. It could still be on.

I think it's the fact he's been linked with them in the last few weeks and suddenly he appears around the corner.. people are always going to put 2 and 2 together and get what ever number they please.
 
After the Herrera deal, I think anything can happen fast now. Not one MUFC writer or source had any kind of clue. Only the spanish media broke it and it took the English media nearly a day to catch up. Relax and enjoy the pre season tour.

Used last year during games and started a couple of games with that formation

Not when you can spend over £100m and still comply. Ramires is terrible in a 4231.

433 suits most of our current players infact.

We've only got as it stands:

Matic, Fabregas, Ramires, Mikel and Van Ginkel as 1st team players with Mikel and/or Van Ginkel being sold/loaned.

After that its Chalobah, McEachran who have minimal PL experience and quite frankly aren't good enough in the case of McEachran. Pogba is the last player we need.

Any talk of Schweinsteiger will instantly cease with the transfer of Kroos to Real Madrid. There's no chance of both players leaving Bayern.

Your blind love for Pogba makes you miss entirely the point. Yes, Pogba is great, Yes every club in the world could do with him, but a great CB with a good backup striker is much more needed than another marquee CM signing. If Pogba is the last player you need you really believe that Terry, Cahill, Zouma is good enough? even if you add Invanovic to that mix, the need for a world class CB is much more needed than in CM. Matic-Fabregas-Oscar is a perfect midfield of three so I simply don't see the need for another world class CM.

Strange place for a young 21 year old to spend his 10 day holiday after a gruelling season then go to a WC before pre-season. Would have thought he'd go to a beach and relax rather than be in the crowds of Harrods.
