A substantial amount of people are of the belief Manchester United should make haste with the exit of one Robin Van Persie. I, Rio Ferdinand, question these beliefs (there is an implication that Rio does not agree with these views). Stop annoying me at ONCE!!! No. I am making a phone call right away.

The last sentence is an attempt to dupe us into thinking anyone at Old Trafford cares what he thinks anymore.

I thought he was referring to the game tonight.

"A lot of people are saying Robin Van Persie is out of action for the Netherlands Vs. Argentina this evening. I really hope people are not trying to deliberately wind me up about this.
In the absence of any concrete evidence, I best make enquiries with the man himself via telephone."

I'm expecting us to deal with any transfers coming in the way we dealt with Herrera. That is, untli the final hours, we won't hear a thing about it.
:lol::lol::lol:

Surely a fake account?!

I don't know man, that screenshot sure looks real.

Cheers. Translation is much appreciated.

Yeah, he did call.

I'd be hard pressed to find a better summer than a world class manager arriving with Shaw, Herrera, Hummels, Vidal and Di Maria as well as a record breaking kit deal. It would be enough to frighten the rest of world football. Here's hoping for a perfect summer.

We only have 2 of those 5 players, and the other three are going to be a lot harder to get.

Moyes wouldn't of had a clue how to effectively use a player like Kroos.

Thats one of the most obvious statements I've read on herwe in a while.

As it is we might not get them, but at least the club seem to be aiaming high. Its exciting for the fans and a good sign for the future.

The 200 statements about how great next season is gonna be and the formations with Hummels, Vidal AND Di Maria in it are some of the most delusional statements I've read on here in a while.

2 of them are at the world cup until the end too.

Vidal is the only player we can do anything about at the minute (aside from Vermaelen).

That really is wishful thinking man. In fact, if we get one of Hummels, Vidal or Di Maria it'd be fantastic and still unlikely so getting all 3 would be a pipe dream I feel.

Not much happening at the moment, so want to do a little "review" of the twitter thread so far this window.

The Good:

https://twitter.com/FourFourTweet

Four Four Tweet were the first people to leak the official Cesc Fabregas signing official photo. Other than that they generally pick on other transfer news and simply re-tweet it.

Verdict: Worth a follow.

https://twitter.com/imarkinez

Inigo Markinez was the guy who had all the Herrera news from start to finish, tweets in Spanish but translate was close enough to know what was going on.

Verdict: Worth a follow. Works for Cadena Ser, a very reliable Spanish outlet.

https://twitter.com/mikekeeganbbc

Mike Keegan was the first to break the news of the Nike deal not being renewed, while that may not be transfer related a former MEN journo, now working at the BBC may have more news for us during the transfer window.

Verdict: Worth a follow.

If anyone can remember anyone else who deserves a mention, let us know. I'd like to try and keep some kind of record of who is good.

Andy Mitten Works for UWS, usually very very reliable with inside info, doesnt seem to post too many rumors has more detail than most.

Yes and no. We pursued Fabregas last year and didn't get him. I wasn't excited, and didn't regard it as a good sign.

Yep good point, I don't know if I should include him because he rarely tweets, it is usually others who tweet his news unless I'm mistaken?

Right folks - less spam, pointless chat, meme/animated gifs, and more proper football related transfer tweets please.

The Bad:

Not going to post links to their accounts for starters, but this list is those that have either made up BS, or simply been idiots and re-tweeted stuff without checking.

Serge Fagelman - A Stretty News guy AFAIK, pretends to be a little bit of an "ITK" but during the Shaw transfer repeatedly kept posting pictures of "Luke Shaw at Carrington" etc. Doesn't ever seem to get any news, probably has zero sources and goes off the back of twitter rumours by the looks of it.

Verdict: AVOID! Should probably be on the banned list, numpty, not worth following, and according to some "looks rapey".

More to follow, will update later...

He has some sources which are more at staff level than executive level, but pretends to have more than he actually does. He's alright otherwise and doesn't bullshit that much.
