 If the Times is reporting it, it might actually be £75m per year! Incredible

Not when he wants CL football.

Seriously from where has that rumor come up ? 1 speculative report somewhere which was basically about Arsenal and Liverpool's interest and mentioned United in passing almost. I doubt very much 1 season of CL mattered that much. Arsenal have to play a qualifier first, and not like they gonna win the whole CL likely.

We have been barely linked with him in recent times. None of the United beat or semi reliable reporters or even the Spanish press have named us as making a offer while everyone said Liverpool did and were rejected and still trying to convince him for weeks now.

I would take Sanchez over Mata every day of the week. Ok, Sanchez is not proven in the PL but he is a great player, can beat his man and has great pace.

Not really no, my feelings mirror that to when they signed Ozil last summer - looks a nice signing on paper but its Arsenal, they'll still be a walk over when it comes to the big games
I know what ya mean. I wasn't bothered by them signing Ozil but I am a bit annoyed that they will sign him. I haven't seen a lot of him live but I thought he was really impressive during the World Cup.

Not in the least. If we wanted him, we would've bought him by now.
I think you're right here. It was only Catalan radio stations who said he rejected us. I still think he could turn out to be a brilliant signing for whoever gets him.

Financial times, Crafton and Bloomberg reporting around that too.

Sun saying 600 million.

I think it's 100 milion dollar +.

If Evra goes off to Juve then we need a back up left back. Maybe that will be Vermaelen. We might yet sign him and another CB.

Hopefully that money would be invested in the squad this season. Vidal + DI Maria
With the wages lost via players going out, and transfer fees coming in from those players, we could easily afford to overpay for both to make up for the lack of CL. £60m for Vidal and £50m for di Maria and we stand as good a chance as anyone else of winning the league.

Extremely RAWKish. Sanchez might have different reason to sign for Arsenal, but denying our inability to qualify for CL doesn't make any difference is equally strange.

Good luck to them. Wenger does not offend me.

Of all the rival clubs Arsenal is the one I dislike the least, they work within their means, & now the stadium debt isn't so much of an issue they are fully entitled to splash some cash, and in Sanchez they have got a wonderful player.

They just need to add some 'steel' in midfield and they could be right force, but knowing Wenger he will probably overlook this, and they will do the obligatory flattering to deceive act again.

Oops phrased it wrongly. I meant to say they aren't exactly likely to win the CL whole.

As in United are more likely still to win trophies during the duration of his contract than Arsenal will be in most likelihood.

Ffs another sponsorship deal?
We want players. Sack Woodward.

It's some deal when the actual figure is more excessive and outrageous than the figure the Sun are pulling out of their asses.

Madrid - $49 million, Arsenal $45 million.

United - $100 million, who's your daddy!

Wow!! That's a staggering amount of money. If true, Woody must be a genius negotiator

It's Arnold who does the commercial stuff now.

Woodward used to be involved apparently along with him, while Gill did footballing stuff but role changed.

Woodward is the man who helped a family put us in a whole heap of debt. Now he has his top job he is going to get it paid off for them. Been some decade for the fella.

I think Wenger is a gent. As much as I think Sanchez will strengthen them, he will not make them exceptional.
