No it's a new-ish piece.wasn't that Mitten piece ages back?
Surely the deal was scrapped when VG was appointed.

I thought the people not being able to see tweets had been rectified???
Yeah looks like they're working again.
£45m for Vidal? Do. The. Deal.
Correct.About 1-2 weeks ago wasn't it?
Everyone was saying Cavani was a Moyes deal and it would be scrapped by Van Gaal, but then Mitten posted that article saying there was still an offer for Cavani but he wouldn't want to play second fiddle to anyone.
Just can't get excited about the Vidal rumours, would love to see it happen but I just refuse to believe.
Vidal open to United move, Juve want £45m, Vermaelen deal looking likely, Javier Hernandez allowed to leave:

Just realise Miguel Delany wrote this piece - don't know about anyone else but I found hime very reliable. He reported our interest in Mata before anyone. I

That's me done. I was trying to stay calm and just take it as gossip, but if he is reporting it then there is some hope.Delany is one of the most reliable journalists out there, he's not making it up. Hopefully we pay up, Vidal would be just perfect.

I'm pretty sure we were in for him, there was too much noise. James Ducker even said we were interested. That's Delany and Ducker, who don't report things like this unless they got the info from the club. It all depends if we're willing to pay the fee.
Nah.
I'm sure we prepared to pay. It all depends if sadly the Spanish giants or Bayern are interested.
Vidal for £45 million would be classic intercourse. Who on earth would complain about that fee in the current market? Vidal would be the ultimate statement of intent. I'd believe we'd get Hummels if Woody can pull this off.

Never seen Alan Partridge then? What the hell is 'classic intercourse'

Really? For a modern day Roy Keane we should spend whatever it takes, imo.45 million for Vidal seems just about reasonable for both parties. That should be our limit in my opinion, and if that does it, I'm game.
I'm a bit of a cheapskate and considering we've already spent 60 million and probably need to buy two more players besides Vidal (winger plus CB), I would be surprised (and slightly concerned) if we forked out more than 50 million on one player.Really? For a modern day Roy Keane we should spend whatever it takes, imo.
Vidal coming here would lower the price of other signings as it'd be a real statement of intent and the kind of player others would want to join as part of this new "project."
He's the kind of player who will pay for himself in a number of ways and I think that would be made apparent immediately.
Has he got anything good to say these days?

Is everyone sure that Vidal is going to heal properly? What's his injury record been like before now?
Hargreaves appeared the perfect signing, right after a WC too...
