No it's a new-ish piece.

About 1-2 weeks ago wasn't it?

Everyone was saying Cavani was a Moyes deal and it would be scrapped by Van Gaal, but then Mitten posted that article saying there was still an offer for Cavani but he wouldn't want to play second fiddle to anyone.

Just can't get excited about the Vidal rumours, would love to see it happen but I just refuse to believe.

Correct.

 Just realise Miguel Delany wrote this piece - don't know about anyone else but I found hime very reliable. He reported our interest in Mata before anyone. I

Delany is one of the most reliable journalists out there, he's not making it up. Hopefully we pay up, Vidal would be just perfect.

Aye Delaney's good, encouraging at least that he's reporting it. Still can't see it happening though.

Delaney said there was a good chance we'd sack Moyes well before everyone else. This was when most journalists were pretty adamant that he'd get another season.

It's not going is it. There's something in this.

Vidal for £45 million would be classic intercourse. Who on earth would complain about that fee in the current market? Vidal would be the ultimate statement of intent. I'd believe we'd get Hummels if Woody can pull this off.

That's me done. I was trying to stay calm and just take it as gossip, but if he is reporting it then there is some hope.

Is everyone sure that Vidal is going to heal properly? What's his injury record been like before now?

Hargreaves appeared the perfect signing, right after a WC too...

45 million for Vidal seems just about reasonable for both parties. That should be our limit in my opinion, and if that does it, I'm game.

I'm pretty sure we were in for him, there was too much noise. James Ducker even said we were interested. That's Delany and Ducker, who don't report things like this unless they got the info from the club. It all depends if we're willing to pay the fee.

No, I'm not doing it, I'm not getting drawn in, feck the Caf for the next few months, no feck off Vidal, stop it, no seriously stop it this is going to be too painful.

Nah.

I'm sure we prepared to pay. It all depends if sadly the Spanish giants or Bayern are interested.

Madrid want Kroos it seems, so that might give us the upper hand. I don't see them going for Vidal unless they sell Khedira. Vidal already turned down Bayern once, we'll see how keen he is on going back to Germany.

ArturOn. It's definitely gonna happen. Waheeeeeeeeeeey......................Sorry lost my cool there. Carry on.

 What the hell is 'classic intercourse'

Classic Partridge

Really? For a modern day Roy Keane we should spend whatever it takes, imo.

Vidal coming here would lower the price of other signings as it'd be a real statement of intent and the kind of player others would want to join as part of this new "project."

He's the kind of player who will pay for himself in a number of ways and I think that would be made apparent immediately.

I'm a bit of a cheapskate and considering we've already spent 60 million and probably need to buy two more players besides Vidal (winger plus CB), I would be surprised (and slightly concerned) if we forked out more than 50 million on one player.

Doesn't really matter, though, if the story is true and 45 million will do it.

Signed

Has he got anything good to say these days?

Even Vidal isnt the same class as Kroos. They are not the same type of players Paul. And we havent finished this window yet.

By the way, don't agree with the comparisons between Vidal and Roy Keane. Vidal is a much more attacking and technically gifted player.

Getting a bit old with Scholesy now. Has he really watched that many Bilbao games in the last few years?
