Muniain would be a brilliant signing, yes his progression has stalled but if Liverpool were to buy and Rodgers could get the best out of him he would be a brilliant purchase.

Has a buy out clause of around 25million. Around what they are looking to buy Lallana for.

I've read a few articles online, mostly saying around 25-30million pound, so closer to the 40m euro.

He looks a prospect, and at only 21, I'd take him over Lallana.
On a few Spanish articles I read before, it was written that his clause is 36m euro (same as Herrera) which is around 29m pounds.

I agree with you, he is clearly better than Lallana and also is 4-5 years younger.

This kind of thing is part of the reason that I'm not at all disappointed that Liverpool are spending £25m of their transfer budget on Lallana. Not that he is a bad player and he may do a steady job for them, but I don't see him as real top quality or developing into a player of that level.

His old contract finished with a 25m€ clause, his new contract(2009) start with a clause around 36m€ and finished around 45m€.

From the few matches I've seen and what I've read Munain is massively inconsistent and has off the field issues.

Good to know, I hope he doesn't end up at Liverpool. I'd can't see them spending big, unless they are willing to sell Suarez.

Muniain is clearly better than Lallana, his technique and close control are on a different level and his ceiling is so much higher. He is quicker, too. He is also only 21.

He has stagnated a bit but that's normal, almost every player between 18 and 23/24 has a period where he stagnates. I have high hopes for him and wouldn't mind him at United.
But I think he will be at Bilbao for at least 2 more years. All hell will break loose in Bilbao once he leaves, he has broken all kind of records with them, I think he is also their youngest 1st team player ever (gave his debut with 16/17) and everyone's darling in Bilbao! He is the face of the club, really.

Huh muniain is 21? Thought he was 21 ages ago when he helped bilbao beat us.

1Spain out; 2 days later: Ander Herrera. England out; 2 days later: Luke Shaw. Chile out; 2 days later: Vidal & Sanchez??

Muniain looks too much like Nasri for my liking.

If we get Vidal I feel we'll sign Sanchez too, they've said a few times how they want to play with each other. If we are targeting both of them I'd try the Vidal deal first (as the Sanchez one seems a straightforward one of pay what they're asking etc); the Vidal one seems like it will take a lot of negotiating and persuasion for him to come here.

If that's the case it would make more sense to sign Sanchez first.

I was only thinking in terms of how long the Vidal transfer could take if it materializes as Madrid, City, Monaco, PSG, pretty much any team with money will be in for him whereas with Sanchez the teams in the running seem to be only us, Juventus, Arsenal and Liverpool and we could blow them out of the water in terms of a transfer fee.

I'll build a golden statue of Woodward if he pulls of Vidal.

I thought Barcelona weren't using Sanchez in the Suarez deal?

Christ City are becoming the new Madrid, just buying players for the sake of it and ruining most of their careers
