Why do people think Jones is a more qualified captain than Van Persie? Jones has only been here for one more season and has been less influential than RvP. Jones hasn't even staked a claim in the starting line up yet. Van Persie is more experienced, has been a fantastic captain for Arsenal and Holland and thrives on responsibility.

People assume that a captain has to be loud and obnoxious in voice and style of play. I disagree. RvP is intelligent, articulate, charismatic and a dedicated proffessional. When he speaks, people will listen. Out of the whole team he is the most captain material.

I'm happy enough with Lallana, Can and Lambert so far. If we add Markovic, a CB and a LB I'll be chuffed. If Suarez goes then obviously we'll need to replace him unless we get Sanchez included in the deal.

I think Lallana is a good signing although over priced. I don't see what is so special about Can though and Lambert is a squad player.

If Liverpool lose Suarez they are going to need one out and out super star.
 
While none of their signings are mouthwatering, Liverpool are doing OK. They had less that needed doing to their squad than we did. I just hope they don't get a top rate signing in like Alexis.

Suarez is basically gone already, or he should be as Liverpool fans are concerned.

We'll be up there with or without them. We should of easily been top four last season and there's no doubt what so ever for me that we'll be up there challenging this season. An attack consisting of Rooney, Mata and Van Persie. Herrera in to sort part of the midfield. Shaw at LB. World class manager coming in. Anybody even thinking we won't be up there are kidding themselves.
 
Arturo Vidal would be the ideal midfield signing for us and the transfer which looked impossible months ago now looks possible.
 
If we pull of Vidal and a Centre back we will be one of the favourites again.

I wouldn't say that. Depth wise they would have no way of coping with the league/CL next season without several signings.

That's true, hence why they've made signings to that end. They have positions to strengthen in terms of competition whereas we have much more of a revamp required.
 



Either he's been hacked, he's wumming, he's exaggerating, or a big story is about to hit the fan.

Because they're idiots. I can't think of a single reason why Jones should be captain, beyond some chest thumping macho nonsense reason. Hell, he's not even a guaranteed starter at present.
 
Neither the Police nor Suarez: seems pretty clear from the tweets below Collymore's that it was one England fan doing it to another. Racism also possibly involved.

Why doesn't Bucky for once in his warped life admit that he fecked up, apologise and volunteer to get help with his demons.The excuses he and his team mates make up for him are getting more and more ridiculous.

If Holland win the world cup - the open bus will be driving around in Manchester as it gives the United-fans a chance to look at their new side
 
imo Tabarez is trying to instill a siege mentality in the Uruguayan camp hoping it ll help in motivating his team. It can also put pressure on some referees in Uruguay games and will become handy when the team underperforms.
we ll see whether this tactic will work in their favour ..or not
