Christ he is going to have a shock coming here after being used to Bale, Ronaldo, Modric etc.

Cleverley, Young and Valencia is surely a step up in anyone's book.

someone, anyone a bit gullible tonight?

Don't know the credibility on this...

"Anders Lindegaard is set to join Celtic on a season-long loan. [via bt.dk]"

I wonder who we will go after next

No idea mate but I do think we'll be aiming for another two on top of Di Maria if we can, like the reports have said. The start to the season has made it easier for van Gaal to justify this if the owners were wavering.

after di maria is locked up, We need to seriously dump 3 or 4 players. get some funds back and free up wages for a couple of last minute moves.

Genuine queetion here- how come RI are ITK??

Well, put it this way.....They had the Di Maria story and a few others, before the mainstream had it.

But like anyone else, they have came out with a few non runners in the past.

No one is truly "ITK".....But, they are more reliable then some of the tweets posted in this thread

These loan deals are pissing me off. Sell them even if it means for lesser money and move them on once and for all.

I get that...but do they have posters with connections at the club, ex palyers. ?? Im intrested in that kind of stuff.

I think they'll be some deadwood moved on between now and the end of the window.

Unfortunately, it's looking like most of it will be on loan. I'm hoping for sales.

Rio, supposedly, was quite happy to talk last season....Common knowledge obviously now but, just what the story was at the time.

Plus, mate's of players, mate's of coaches, employees etc etc....Same as any other club

If we've included a recall clause it makes total sense to send him on loan rather than sell him. Amos and Johnstone aren't good enough to step in should Dave - God forbid - pick up a long-term injury.

I have a feeling we're going to have a very busy week ahead of us, the positives of leaving our signings till the end of the window are literally that we, as muppets, won't be bored for the final week of the window. Adnan, you're going to have to be on top form next week :D

Why are all journalists hating on the di maria transfer? Seriously can't the press cut us some slack?! Jeez

It's been rumoured for a while...
Nah, they were all adamant he was going to PSG, like 90% of this forum including myself. Him joining United makes all the ones saying it was set in stone about PSG look bad and less reliable.

Pretty damn harsh considering Darren Fletcher and Cleverley are abominations in midfield. At least Kagawa has an eye for a pass and can move the ball forward with is own legs.

63 mil and not on a problem position? lets hope we are looking at 2 more CM additions as well.
Wing is definitely a problem position when your options are Valencia, Young and Januzaj, the best of the three being 19.

Because they hadn't a clue it was materialising.
Woody is only informing them (or they know from other foreign sources) when the deal is in it's later stages. This was seen in The Herrera, Rojo and Di Maria deals. This allows Woody to save the club the embarrassment of not getting a player as was seen last year. Even the journos themselves are double guessing what is fed to them from those internal sources. They are also pissed off that they are not getting as much clicks because in Moyes era he told them every player linked with Man utd.

I beginning to like Woody, he is not only a financial genius-but is a very good at making signings. No other CEO is as good if you really think about it. Considering he did not know anything about transfers, he has learnt an awful lot since the two years he has been here.

I also like his chubby face.

If Vidal's knee really is as big a problem as everyone seems then it may be wise we don't sign him. I didn't think it was as bad. I do really rate Strootman and I think he would be a brilliant addition in January or next summer but we also need a CDM imo.
unlike Strootman didn't suffer a cruciate ligament damage on his knee.. I'd get both. Vidal is now okay trying to get back his fitness. Strootman will be ready in January ready to be bought or not. Should be back in game around November. So we will have some time to see if he is okay..but shame I can't think of any other suitable target for our midfield. We could go for defensive minded Wanyama/Carvalho along Herrera it could work but we should get someone who can handle the ball bring it forward as well and that type of player I don't see any that these two but my knowledge of players abroad is limited... Sandro may be not needed so we could try to get him as well, but he is another injury prone player. Anyway some deep laying playmaker would be pretty much appreciated if came something like carrick but with more speed and tackle in him. I don't see a player like this in the market

It is a problem position! Unless you're happy with young and Valencia as our wingers?!

Hate to break it to you but we have several problem positions and we just solved one of them
