Fernando is a much simpler transfer. It's like us signing someone like Bebe. We're dealing with a different kettle of fish in Bilbao - they're notoriously difficult to do business with.

If Liverpool sign Shaqiri then surely that'll rule them out of signing Sanchez. They don't need two new wingers.
don't forget that they'll hopefully get Lallana. Coutinho, Sterling, Shaqiri, Lallana is a good group. But Sanchez, Coutinho, Sterling, Shaquiri would be extremely dangerous.
I would rather them get Shaqiri rather than Sanchez. United should be going all out for Sanchez.

I believe this is great news for the US. A Portugal win makes it a lower probability that the US is knocked out even if they lose against Germany.
