I hate to say it man, but Ando has been carried ever since the season after he excelled for us. Seems to love the club & thats very important for any fan. If he can stay fit - he can become the player we always wanted him to be.

Would be sad to see him leave, just hope he's used the break to get himself fit as fiddle & really focussed on being the best he ever wanted to be - cos he has it in him & all the fans love the little fella
In my ideal world we would buy Thiago and Strootmen and keep Ando just for dressing room moral even but if it's either or I would have to say goodbye to the happy chappy. He would probably want to go anyway if they both came in, he will need to get games if he is to have any chance of getting into the Brazil World Cup squad.

Yeah...someone mentioned earlier about how they'll be left until Moyes begins so that they're seen as Moyes' signings instead of the board/Fergie. Strootman has also been particularly silent which reminds me of our past dealings.
Might just be wishful thinking but I hope it is the case.

Even though Moyes doesn't start officially yet, I can't see how anyone will be thinking any signing made now is not his.

Well any signing made now will definitely be ratified my Moyes but when we're allegedly chasing Thiago, Strootman and Garay, all of which we've been linked with for some time, it's hard to believe that these are solely Moyes' signings.

Well if we sign Thiago or Strootman they aren't exactly his are they considering we've been linked with them for over a year and Fergie's scouts did all the work. He'll probably give the go ahead to bring them in but would you say Schurrle is a Mourinho signing?

Yes, I would say he's a Mourinho signing. If we made a deal now, four days before Moyes is officially our manager, and a month and a half after we know he already started working (and let go of staff), would anyone really think it's anything but his signing? I mean, we know we already tracked Strootman and Thiago for a while now, a couple of years maybe. That won't change whether we sign one of them on June 30 or July 2nd.

Who cares if they're a Moyes signing or not, they're Manchester United signings (whoever it is we sign). If Moyes wasn't happy with any player we sign then I'm sure he wouldn't allow it so regardless of the scouting, the manager will surely have the final say.

Not just to call it a Moyes signing but for the whole following PR stuff of announcing Moyes and signings at the same time, and to take the pressure off him.

Exactly.

Would you prefer the staff to say to Moyes "Yeah, we have Thiago Alcantara, one of the best young midfielders about, available cheap, and willing to sign, do you wanna go for it?" and get a reply of, "A Fergie signing eh? Would ya ever feck off, I'll pick me own bloody players, right!"

He's a Spanish journalist and is followed by a few other journos and the like. He gives views nearly always from the view of the Spanish clubs and press.

Ando's no chance of makin the World Cup unless he has an unbelievable season of epic proportions & i sadly cant see that happening tbh. Stranger things have happened of course, but this would be very strange...

What seems to have happened in the last 10 minutes.

Perez: "Carlo, I want to sign Wayne Rooney"
Ancelotti: "I would much rather Thiago Alcantara"
*Evil, intense stares between the two. Ancelotti's eyebrows move as if detached from his face*

Just so happens a ball boy was there at the time and tweeted the goings on.

Its a different world now man, Managers come & go like fads, so all of Fergie's careful following of players wont be goin to waste imo. We see it from most top clubs that players are signed before a new Manager is installed, so we're no different now. Maybe agreements to sign a player at a certain time is agreed & u either follow through or pay a financial penalty to the player - its not beyond the realms of possibility tbh.

Moyes will have his won plans of course - especially as regards to his coaching staff - which is fair enough & he'll be allowed to do whatever he thinks tbh, but he will be told we have a way of playin & that must be respected or the jobs not yours. With that regard, United will have targetted players that have developed in the way they wanted, so Moyes must fit into United rather than the other way round.

The players linked with us - Thiago, Strootman & Garay are maybe players that Moyes likes, (but were way out of his League at Everton) have been linked with us for atleast 3 or more years under Fergie, so it would take a complete gobshite to come in & say - "No - they're not good enough for my team..".

Moyes will undoubtedly have been aware of the plans the club have made for profiled transfer targets & i dont think he'd really have a problem with that considering it was Fergies forward-thinkin.

After he settles in - then he'll have alot more clout tho, but a club of our size would be committing suicide to give the full reins of an institution to someone who's only managed at a mid-table club. I cant see Moyes havin a problem with that in the short-term tbh - he's been the given the best job in the world ffs, so ease yourself into it & dont think u know more than the machine thats United!

Mourinho would never have been given the job in that respect!!

Tancredi Palmeri is a bit of a spacker isn't he? He just spams the shit out of Twitter with bollocks. I'm sure he's right the odd time, but if you fling enough shit at a wall some of it will stick.

Hopefully Ancelotti is just trolling Barca. The suicide rate in this country would soar to an all time high if he joins Madrid

And Barca will forever regret playing hardball with us. Let's hope that our beloved boy has some dignity

Did perez really say what he said?

Florentino Perez (president Real Madrid): "If Barcelona would want to sell Messi, they can call us." [rne]

We dont even know Barca's playin hardcockball with us tbh. If he wants to come its a done deal from all accounts. If he goes to the virus-purchasers then he'll not get the games he craves for imo, but u never know. Would be a pretty hard move from Barca to Real tho. Public Enemy number one right there with Barca fans!

I'm not sure why he would.

"Here, Real Madrid, would you like to sign Messi?" "Messi? Haha do we feck. Hahamessilolzy behave, Barcelona, why would we want Messi? Hahafeckoffhahaha"

He could potentially displace Alonso or Khedira. Barca is playng hardball on us, of course they have every right to try to convince our boy to stay with them, but it can backfire if Madrid gets him. Of course, we are not sure, but there were a lot of reports that they were trying to change Thiago's mind and if they don't cooperate we will probably have to pay more than his release clause. Madrid on the other side can get him for 18m EUR without even talking to Bartha.

I was reading something on this thread as regards to the clause, that we'd have to pay more, but i thought it was long-winded tbh. How does that work out tbh?

Sure, Falcao went as per his release clause, Cavani looks like the same shit is gonna happen, so how come we pay more than say Real? Doesnt make any sense to me if its down to tax laws or some shit like that. Barca are the registered seller so they have to pay the tax - not us, and as he has a release-clause, then if he wants to go - he goes if that fee is matched!

Football - bloody hell!!
