looking at the rumours and how it would all fit together in muppetland

Ronaldo---RVP---Rooney

Sorry boss but if we are truly adopting the transfer paradigm we have to swap Rooney (Barca-bound, you know?) out for Kaggerz.

You spelled 'please' wrongly, Mr C. See me after class. :D

Yes. He is now sort of implying on twitter that he did it to get better odds on Ronaldo to somewhere else?

People were pulling him up on that on the day he made the tweet about Ronaldo to Chelsea. Some of the responses he made back then made it sound suspect enough, but nobody picked up on it - this to me just verifies he was up to something to gain better odds on another club.

Don't want to say 'fair play' to him, but he has shared many correct transfers in the past and many people trust him. So with that trust he's used it to his advantage to lure people to bet on Ron to Chelsea, and ultimately, to his own financial gain.

Insider betting is illegal right?

If Ronaldo does join Chelsea I'm gonna be so angry I'll just report him to the police.

Just had a look back at on this page, this was a retweet he did which I shared back when he original called it:

He then responded with 'Good thinking'. And then that tweet today, he's up to something... and I'm worried I like the sound of it

The thing is he is nothing official to do with the club, or not a professional. There is nothing illegal what he is doing.

Change Rooney with Kagawa and that side would honestly work together, it's well balanced.

Rooney isn't welcome in muppet land!

Switch him with Welbeck, Danny would be brilliant in that team. Plus I'd be happy enough with Cleverley instead of Strootman there.

Also take out Garay and have one of Evans, Smalling and Jones.

Really, we just need to sign Thiago and Ronaldo and we'll have the complete team.

I think we need Strootman as much as Thiago. Our midfield is paper thin and I don't think Thiago alone is enough, especially as his attacking and playmaking abilities far outweigh his defensive attributes.

But Thiago would strengthen our first team, whereas Strootman, realistically (i.e. not as it appears in that formation) would mostly be back-up for Carrick. They'd both be important, but in different ways.

I actually think Strootman is a option only if we fail with signing Thiago.

Do we got room for Thiago and Strootman though? It's hard enough to rotate the squad as it is, and it doesnt look like we're getting rid of any other midfielders bar Scholes. In terms of quality maybe we need Strootman, but I cant see us bringing in both of them unless someone is leaving. And I'd rather have Anderson at the club than Strootman

I like Ando but he has had his chance and it has not happened for him, time to make room for someone else.

I guess there's still a question mark over Anderson. He's not going to be fit all that often, which is a major bummer, as I love the guy when he is fit and up for it.

Fletcher? As much as I'd love to be wrong, I just can't imagine he'll return to his best, or anywhere near it, which is a horrible possibility, as he's a total warrior. I hope he makes me eat a load of humble pie and proves me wrong.

So we only really have Carrick, Cleverley and Anderson. If we lose Rooney, I can see Thiago making up a front 4 with RVP, Kagawa and Nani/Zaha, though knowing he can play very well in a deeper role is very good too. Carrick and either Strootman, Cleverley or Anderson beside him are very good options further back, with the option to rotate Carrick as well, not rely on him so heavily

Strootman & Carrick together would be wicked tbh man. Both have excellent defensive qualities & are great & safe passers also. Add to the fact that Strootman is a box-box player - then we have that steel in mid-field & scoring goals from mid-field too that we all cry out for!

I'm pretty sure that if we wanted to get Strootman, we'd have signed him by now. If we haven't, then either we're not interested or he is indeed backup.

If we had those 2 holding the fort we could just throw 4 players out up front of them. Thiago, Ronaldo, Kagawa, RVP. That team would play some devastating football.

I hate to say it man, but Ando has been carried ever since the season after he excelled for us. Seems to love the club & thats very important for any fan. If he can stay fit - he can become the player we always wanted him to be.

Would be sad to see him leave, just hope he's used the break to get himself fit as fiddle & really focussed on being the best he ever wanted to be - cos he has it in him & all the fans love the little fella

Deal could be sorted but not announced.

Yeah...someone mentioned earlier about how they'll be left until Moyes begins so that they're seen as Moyes' signings instead of the board/Fergie. Strootman has also been particularly silent which reminds me of our past dealings.
