Steve Round is understood to have been offered a six-year contract at United to take a senior coaching position under Moyes. [telegraph

People believing that Hibbert stuff

I have to say, if Nani is going to be sold then galatasaray would be perfect for me.

the Italian journo tancredi is saying Chelsea are after de Rossi from Roma, not officially bid yet though.

He could still be a good option in our midfield, wages massive though surely.

He's 30 next month, surely he's missed the boat on a big move after the speculation every summer..

More from Tancredi

Napoli going to reject Chelsea bid of 30m € + Torres

Jovetic bid from Juventus should indeed be rejected by Fiorentina, approx a 16m €+Marrone

Monaco is preparing a bid for Nani, according to tomorrow Corriere dello Sport edition

Monaco's interest in Nani was reported last week by Duncan Castles. Could be good news for us, may be one of the few clubs that will give us a decent fee for him given the situation.

Is tancredi reliable in any way? He tweets constantly about virtually every player, says a team will bid a certain amount and it will be rejected, and so on. He all retweets basically anyone who gives him a compliment. Seems like a massive attention whore to me.

The Italian Balague.

Out of curiosity, why is Ballague seen as so unreliable? Does he have that much form for making up transfer bullshit?

He compiles most of it from other sources and says where it's come from to be fair.

He said we signed Torres about 7 years ago and the rep has stuck.

He probably does pretend he knows more than he does but he definitely knows some stuff.

Because he comes across as someone who thinks he knows every transfer dealing going on around the world and states it in a fashion that it is definitely a cold hard fact.

He's been consistently wrong about everything for a lot longer than 7 years. I remember listening to him back when he used to be on TalkSport around 2003. He spent half the season guaranteeing that Vieira would go to Real Madrid. Of course, that never happened.

Generally speaking, when he starts speculating, I assume the opposite is true. In fairness, he does have some fantastic links with the big clubs in Spain and he does get a lot of good interviews. But I think he's only allowed that access because he's willing to be a mouthpiece to spread false rumours and misinformation.

He just reports rumors like anyone else, so some will be right many will be wrong. A couple of years ago he was big over the course of several transfer windows for linking either Silva or Villa with us. He went so far has to twice saying that the player was already signed to a deal and transfer agreed to, one was in January or February to take affect in the summer.

Now I know that is only one example, but the point being he reports stuff that isn't true just like all the other transfer reporters.

He reports as if a transfer is certain to happen, and that he has sources inside the club which report to him. Which obviously in the end turns out to be bullshit.

Also the fact that he is a massive Liverpool and Barcelona wanker.

I like how Rodgers is casting his net wide. In recent years, I've often felt that we (United) could have better mined the resources of La Liga.

It goes without saying though that a player who's good enough for Pool isn't necessarily good enough for Barca.

Does seem true although Liverpool have been active in Spain for years, I believe

Here's a nice comp of Alberto...Would be bummed to see him go so while I realize attackers is something the club has a lot of depth in, there are fewer bonafide strikers like Luis

Reported that Nani is in talks about a move to Galatassary

12 million is the potential fee

seems low to me - apart from Ronaldo and Heinze to Madrid it's hard to think of a time we got a good fee for our top players

It's low because he's got a year left on his contract.

Would not mind seeing Nani go, certainly would lower my blood pressure when watching United.

I suppose then like me.. You have to check your pulse to see if your dead, when watching Valencia.

Tony V had a poor season but I can't help but really love the guy still.

I'm hoping he has a good pre season and comes back into form. He may only have one trick, but on form it was always a very useful one.

Nani on the other hand often makes me want to punch the wall. Beat three men then scuff the cross, whack it into the crowd or behind the man it's meant for. The less said about his 1 in 100 free kicks on target the better too.

Anybody who wants rid of Nani is mental. Sure he has off days but who doesn't. I think many are forgetting he is in the top 5 for goals/assists in the last 5 years in the prem.

You're showing your lack of knowledge here. He's about as much a Barcelona wanker than a United fan is for City. He's a Perico for Asspanyol

So why did we pay so much for Ashley Freakin' Young?

Yep, loosing Nani for £18m or less for me would be us getting below value even if he has a year on his contract. I'd normally put him in line with Nasri when us and City were in for him for around £24m, but his poor season will have knocked off some of his price. But £12m is a very good deal for someone if it happens.

I had to unfollow that bloke, he lives on Twitter. His incessant tweeting was taking over my entire feed.
