They are accusing him of fabricating the story. If he wanted to invent a story he wouldn t have said that the medical should take place on Sunday, he would have left it more open and said "in the coming days" or something along those lines.

I would say that is it and he has only himself to blame. What's abundantly clear is it won't happen during the Olympics. They won't announce anything. He got over excited and should accept that abuse was inevitable - he gave himself no space to manoeuvre at all by saying Sunday.

Well then you have to expect a backlash from people when you announce a transfer story saying a player will take a medical on a certain date, and it doesn't. It's part and parcel, if Lucas had taken the medical and it was reported as such, Cass would be the first one to point out his earlier tweet.
