Cohen's lawyer is making no bones about who they're targeting now.
Even is is to spook Trump into pardoning him at federal level, Cohen cannot unsay what he's said. Even if tomorrow Trump issues a pardon to Cohen, Mueller now has the fact his former lawyer testified in court that he acted under instruction from the president to break the law. How does team Trump possibly back out of that?
Either Davis is trying to spook the administration into a pardon, but surely the way to do that isn't releasing a load of shit that the administration cannot row back on - or he's trying to mitigate any future sentencing by ensuring this client is openly cooperative with the investigation.

This is why pardons would be counter productive for Trump. The damage has already been done by way of Cohen's testimony and Trump would only appear to be attempting to obstruct justice of his own investigation.

The only thing people like Trump and Cohen are loyal to is money. If it's with the purpose to stop information which could influence an election (as clearly was the case), yes it's considered a campaign donation. In this case, it far exceeded the limit and wasn't decleared.

I think it's now time for unified and unrelenting calls for impeachment from the Dems, and complete obstruction/resistance of all forms of government and congressional activity until the president is removed. Turn it up to 11, it's time.
