Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

Papadopoulos was referred to as a 'proactive cooperator' in the legal docs. He was arrested way back in July and his name wasn't publicly revealed til today (late Oct). Therefore the suggestion is he was likely wearing a wire during the intervening time.

That would be quite something.

The question is... who else had Mueller flipped other than the obvious ones? I suspect he used Papadoupoulous to get some other low hanging fruit and had them doing the same thing.

Can you imagine the paranoia in those circles now?

when last have you heard from immunity seeking Michael Flynn:cool:

I'm just watching this unfold. Not a bloody clue what's going on.

My inferior political British mind tells me that Mueller is the good guy hired to weed out the bad guys. It seems that he's used someone in Trump's team to be undercover for him to expose said bad guys? Not sure who Manafort is, but he was ?in his campaign team/the head of the campaign team? There may be links between him and Russia but it's unclear if that was during his campaign time? Is that right?

Exciting stuff to follow though.

[Insert popcorn gif]

I bet Trump regrets firing Comey. Though he's probably as efficient.

Who's playing Mueller in the eventual movie, then? I reckon De Niro would fit the part.

No Kellywise?

Yeah, that one is nailed on. Christopher Walken should do Manafort.

Alec Baldwin as trump?
Nah, that would be boring. Everyone expects that one. I'm going for Daniel Day-Lewis. Just to see how he would prepare for the role. Likely by repeatedly hitting himself with a hammer.
Jimmy Stewart should be brought back from the dead to play Comey.

The scenario seems waay too dramatic to me.
That's how most FBI investigations are made and Papadopoulos is described as a 'proactive cooperator' in the documents which usually means somebody who is undercover and gaining evidence. It's definitely a possibility.

Trust me, I'd love for it to be that dramatic. I just thought once news broke of his arrest, everyone would just be turning down any communication from Papadopoulos.

Or anyone. If you're in the Trump administration, your lawyer is advising you to STFU if the feds come knocking.
